Might be neat to etch your own presets.
I don't think so, not for awhile anyways. I'm finding all sorts of incredible sounds, those cards might make more sense when I'm more familiar with what I'm doing. The All Touch cards are really the one I want, I'll have a conduit too and love that kinda interface. It seems the other cards are mostly just patches I can already make with a resist, but its all still so new for me and quite exciting just experimenting. Those cards do look pretty badass though, be nice if he would just sell me the touch cards for the matter and conduit :idk:

I know!!!!! I didn't know about that pedal until after the fact :( I posted a pic of the plate on my IG awhile back and someone commented about that pedal and by that time they were sold out. That board started with my finding those vintage 80s pink and blue placemats. Then I decided to come up with the plate design and had two triangles I pulled from a cheesy movie poster, but they originally had digital grids in them...then at the last moment I decided it was two busy and just made them solid triangles with colors that matched the placemat.

The tonesnobpedalboards dude is great. He was super affordable and will make anything you ask :)

Yea, he even stated in his description that everything could already be made with resist. You could probably wire up some other touch pad (like mengqi lines you have already) and probably accomplish the same thing...just strip a cheap cable maybe?

I saw that the conduit was a harmonic oscillator based on delay time...but there was no word if it could track or it was just a knob turn drone thing? I thought it was a neat idea when I can across it looking for delay time osc circuits. :idk: Neat stuff though. I guess with programmable cv buttons/signal it would track (like the lightning wave ghost or pressure points) no matter what (more of a prepared instrument). Looking forward to demos!

After thousands of dollars on various recording equipment, effects, guitars and amps, I've just now decided it's time to buy a tuner pedal and retire the 17 year old Ibanez piece of shit handheld, beginners tuner. Went for a Korg Pitchblack mini instead of the usual polytune mini.

Also someone nearby has a Bitquest up for $275CAD and even though I'm not looking for one I feel like I'd be an idiot to not at least give it a go?

good idea on lines, probably try my gieskes nononono too :thumb: yeah, at first i was all excited when i saw these cards were available but then kinda disappointed to find out they were mainly just presets. pretty neat, but necessary?

on the conduit as far as I can tell there is one knob and/or 1 cv input that controls the delay time/pitch for all 9 harmonic oscillations. i'm not really sure what all is going on, but looks like the oscillate patch bay lets you do all sorts of neat routing of the oscillations throughout the conduit/matter/resist but I think they are all still influenced by the knob/cv input. but i dunno? maybe neat if you can patch some to just drone away while others are patched to cv/knob. just like every other module i read about it will hopefully make sense when i actually have it in front of me and can hear what's going on

At 170$, no not necessary haha. Breadboard and jumper pins and make your own like a Buchla preset card.

I couldn't get a sense of if they were all off the same delay line or 9 separate ones. In my head, I think a had it kinda setup like maxon ad-9 pro with taps for feedback off certain points of the repeats with each individual stage being controllable. I dunno, it sounded like a neat idea but really interested in how it's implemented (i am assuming it is digital for some reason...would be way cooler if done with a series of short bbds though). Going to be neat to see what you find!

I've been really curious about how the board was going to look ever since you posted the picture of the plate.
Looks amazing.:!!!:

probably another $170 for the conduit cardset too :grumpy: more than likely I'll just stick to patching between the two with a resist. i vaguely remember when i was on the preorder for the tabletop version reading it was "analog voiced" or something along those lines, so I'm thinking its digital. i really wish they would have produced that run, looked like alot of fun with its cv keyboard, and it was designed to let you breakout and reconfigure the circuit however you wanted.

pretty neat module, i really like how you can use it backwards to combine two different signals too.
