"Back story":
Played in a hardcore band back in 2011, we did one european tour, then disbanded cause of lack of interest from 50% of the members. Ever since me and the bassist have been talking about forming something new, more melodic with less lyrics focusing on "my friends, my family" and other hardcore clichés. Life got in the way on the regular, we did manage to try out a few drummers and even half finish a demo recording but nothing seemed to really helps us gain momentum. Eventually our old drummer moved back from living in another town for a few years and we instantly hit it off. It's funny how it just works out with some people in certain contexts.
The actual music:
Here's our first EP. https://uthc.bandcamp.com
Sound wise it's nothing new, but we (our drummer) call it post-skate, just for fun. It's basically in your run of the mill skatepunk/melodic hardcore/punk sphere, but I'm really proud of it. We're having good fun playing (and writing lyrics together! When does that ever happen?). I'm on guitar and vocals.
Fun fact?
I'm not using ANY pedals. Well, a TU-2, but that's it.
However, our bassist is running a sansamp and my Fuzzrocious Cat Tail (which I forced him to).

A friend put together a night for a couple visiting improvisers from Rotterdam, and I got to perform in one of the sets. First time out with the Kaossilator mini, which was a lot of fun, also ran some tapes, and scraped things on the EF Blackfly's springs.
I have been told it sounds like This Will Destroy You, Sigur Rós, and Human Hands, so FFO those bands. More accurately I suppose it's for fans of a shit tonne of distortion and reverb, and almost inaudible vocals.

Those who listened to my Sonic Koalas stuff on Bandcamp may well already be aware that I removed everything in protest at the fallout from Epic Games buyout and all that has followed.
I've just uploaded the most recent album to Soundcloud if anyone fancies a listen.
An ILF exclusive. Private link. Record coming 2024.

Last night's drone experiment: three keyboards, each playing one note from a chord, the soundwaves cancelling and augmenting each other to cause infinite variations.
And the BitQuest makes an appearance here, using the Atmosphere's aliaser mode in the end section, about 37 minutes in.
