i'm sure you're already aware but obne already does that. i have one and it gets the job done well enough, but if you do a lot of effects-heavy stuff then you can expect to lose a lot of detail. here's a link:

Or if you have a preamp the Iconoclast or the Cabzeus Mono are great headphone options.

Maybe a JFET version? I feel like I’ve floated that here before. It could be smaller and arguably simpler to produce.
