I vaguely feel like I shouldn't be spamming this page, but it's been a productive week, musicwise! Rehearsal Sunday, recording session Monday, gig Tuesday. (with two different projects, even.)
I rented a Zoom multitrack for recording some of this stuff + realized I could plug a headphone output into my video camera, so things are getting documented.
Two projects, two living rooms.

And to close this year here's a play through one my The Land Of The Snow tunes!
Fun fact: this song was released on 1st January 2022!
I have music with several projects "in the pipeline" chugging patiently through various degrees of readiness. So it feels nice to put out some stuff on the quick while it's fresh + piping hot. Did a session with a couple pals the week after xmas, and sculpted it into a l'il EP that's gonna come out this week.

...annnd further to the above, here's the new EP, now alive on bandcamp. Some kosmische grooves, some synthy textures.
In order to get back into the practice of actually making music, I set aside about 15-20 minutes to record whatever comes out in that time. Then I take whatever bit of that improvisation seems listenable and post it to Soundcloud (is Soundcloud even still relevant, what do people use to dump their music shit in 2023). At the moment it's primarily ambient synth stuff, because I find it easiest to make something listenable in that mode. "Enjoy" - https://soundcloud.com/deathtofalseambient

Haven't posted here in a little bit. I sold all my pedals and moved to a Line 6 Helix so I've been embarrassed about coming back. HOWEVER, last time I posted my band you lot seemed to really like it and I got a bunch of nice messages, so here's the music vid for my band Staff Party's new single. Noise Rock / Post-Hardcore kinda stuff I guess. Enjoy!
"Audio only. This song was recorded on February 2nd, 2023 using a Zoom H4n Pro Handy Recorder with a Shure SM57 mic for the guitar amplifier and a Sennheiser e906 mic for the vocals". The Sunmachine Reptile Fuzz is on throughout the entire track combined in several parts with the silicon MJM London Fuzz II for a monstrous wall of fuzz. The chaotic segment features both pedals along with the WMD Protostar envelope filter (with a Boss EV-30 exp. pedal), the Analog Man ARDX20 dual analog delay and the Boss RC-5 looper for the gong.
Hey there let me introduce my band: TIMELAPSE AURORA, post rock / post metal from Milan Italy.
Our debut album has been released by Eternal Colossus Rec thru youtube channel WherePostRockDwells:
Footage from a gig last week, for fans of tap dancing and, uh, strange noises. I was doing some synthy stuff plus manipulating the sounds coming from my friend's amplified tap board.
