Sunn 200s cab just came in, after a month of layaway payments!
On the prowl for some D140's now....

Anybody got a favorite pair of 15" replacement drivers for these?
Whoever had this before me loaded it with Pyle Drivers designed for PA :picard: :picard: :picard:

They sound sick for bass but muddy for guitar. Pulverizing in an A/B configuration but the cleans could be a lot better. Either way, stoked as fuck.

Didn't realize these were out yet. Where did you get it? Nine Volt? :snax:
I don't think so, some seller with only like 23 feedback points. Was a 24 hour auction, for $167

Pro tip, set it to link even without another one linked. It'll increase the distortion for dirty grungy goodness.

Also, don't get scared by those meters squash away!!

Is it intentional that you mostly get weird modules and very few basic modular building blocks (VCAs, mixers, oscillators, etc.) ? I get the kind of stuff you're interested in but you might want some less exotic modules to make sure you get the full potential from the weird ones... :)

I don't know if its intentional, guess I didn't realize these were weird or exotic modules. well...the ERD/ERD is kinda weird, but when you've been making music with Martin's other creations, an earth return distortion module kinda seems like par for the course, haha. And my Ciat-Lonbarde instruments have had me messing alot with piezo's lately, which the inputs on the IFM modules have been designed to work with....pretty incredible patching the barre's of my CL organ's with the IFM :joy: So, I guess I was naturally drawn to the Mikrophonie which give me another avenue to explore piezo's with. But yeah, I'm building this euro around a dual set of IFM module's...which all output cv/audio/lfo rate signals...with lots of random/chaos modules to modulate em, and an eye on various modern patch programmable Serge based modules. i.e. the Swoop is based on DUSG, and Math's is based on DUSG, and Sport Modulator is based on SSG. I'm working my way slow and steady :thumb:

I've been eyeballing the Jones MVIP, video synthesis is pretty exotic to me and that seems like a pretty nice all in one entry point

I still have no idea what these modules actually do.
Well, what they do other than give you radiation poisoning, that is.

I like the DetUnd panel more, but I think it's for the V1 Turing Machine?

Thats from the same people (Magpie Modular) but yea it's for the V1. This is Magpie's first panel for the V2. They're also doing a 15 or 20% sale right now on their panels so that's an added bonus. Magpie has a lot of cool shit.

This one is a VCA, distortion module involving electromagnetic interference...i think.

From manual:

Simply wire up the power connector (red/-12V to bottom as shown above) and
plug in audio or control voltage signals to signal in, output from signal out and
play with the amplification knob.
The earth coffin/container will pick up stray electromagnetic signals, particularly
if your hand is placed close to the earth.
Patching in an external earth pile will switch out the local earth container. You
can plug two minijacks between an earth pile or forest site and the earth-labelled
uppermost jack sockets of the module. Any conductive material will also work
with differing properties. Note that only the tip of the minijack should be
connected to the earth pile.
Do not expose the ERD/ERD to extremes of high or low temperature or to
direct sunlight. Condensation may appear in the ERD window and this is no
cause for concern.

So, I guess the box of dirt or "earth" causes random modulations/noise on the audio/cv signal. and you can further interface with the module by putting your hand or maybe different electronic devices near the dirt box to cause some electromagnetic noise onto the signal. And it has the in/outs that bypass the box of dirt, I believe you could simply patch cables in/out and hold the ends in different hands and inject yourself onto the signal....or stick them on/into bananna's or other conductive materials, or into your own yard :joy:

experimentation is in order

Yeah, I was checking out their shop last night... wish I was more into Mutable stuff, a full suite of their panels would look ace!

I just bought two built mikrophonies at 20% off from them, paid last night and got shipping notice this morning :thumb: Their panels look great
