Which kalimba is that? I've been toying with the notion of making some.

I'm very probably going to get a Meng Qi DPLPG on saturday at the Tokyo Festival of Modular. Mr Meng Qi will be here and he'll have modules for sale (I asked him). I'm getting a Pico VCO and Pico Sequencer from Erica Synth, too...

How good is it? I usually shy away from Passive VCAs/LPGs for no discernible reason, but they're pretty cheap on modular addict.

A mic'd 17 key Hugh Tracey African tuned Karimba, i guess the bent tines style is called a Karimba. It's been rearranged and retuned to Dm. It's close to Alto range.

Awesome. Love to hear what you think of his new? Hand module if you get a chance to check it out. Its a slope generator where you record gestures from Ciat Lonbarde piezo barres. It's on modulargrid but not listed on his etsy store, yet.

Yeah, I hope he'll have a Hand in his setup, I'd be interested in trying this one too

. If I can try one I'll probably update on the modular thread...

Out: ghost echo
IN: Fuzzwell Effects Maypole!
I liked this when I tried it in the tourbox, so when I saw he was selling some in BST I leapt on it as soon as I had the pedal funds.
Just had a first jam, and I love it! Really nice sounding meaty fuzz face, what more can you ask for? Plus, with the fuzz knob having an off switch to save the battery it's the first fuzz face I've ever played where the fuzz knob is actually worth having.

Yeah that's rad as hell. The Maypool was a real treat to play.
