Sold my model fet and dunwich one knob (which I'm sure I'll eventually regret) and got some new stuff. The hellmouth tightens up my engl invader nicely, the skyhorse is a really lovely spring verb that modulates nicely when cranked and the Kraken is just absolutely fucking beastly in every way.
Few more on the way, I have a sweet custom etched Dunn Apostle orange OR/Green preamp coming probably next week and I snagged one of the new Tym Black Muds which will probably be next week at some point too

No need to go down that road, I've dealt with buying direct before and I know the deal. Got it from a dealer and the pedal is built well and sounds excellent, end of story as far as I'm concerned

Have you compared it to the Reverberation Machine?
Ever since he unveiled the first version I was curious about just how much they relate to each other (considering he never really showed off the gain function in the video demo).

Couldn't say really, I've only heard the reverberation machine in a demo or two online. I remember it having a similar slightly gritty sound not unlike the skyhorsr

Modified this a bit for BILF so I could stay in the small category, but here's what I've been using for a few months.

unghhhhhhhhh perfect board.
also i have no idea why i ever post anything in this thread because it usually speeds up the process of tearing up the board again.

I love that. But how different are the Avalanche Run and El Capistan? They are almost identical on paper.

That's definitely a board I'd like to fuck.

El Cap is Tape Delay modeler, Av Run is delay/reverb machine. I can't really think of anything quite comparable off the top of my head.

Gotcha. Guess I was thinking more that they're both dual reverb/delay pedals with tap tempo and hold/oscillation functions. But yeah I forget that the El Cap is a tape delay...

There are definitely some similarities. I use the el cap for delay and the avalanche run for atmosphere. Then I combine them and float in a sensory deprivation chamber, occasionally throwing the whole thing into chaos with the oscillation switch on the avalanche run. It's a really fun pairing, and completely overkill in the best way.

I can dig that. Running delays in series is a lot of fun. Still looking for another to pair with my Timebender.

I've got about 6 reverbs that I'd like to do a little video shoot out with. What do you think the time limit should be?
