Fuck yeah getting the JMP rolling again. The only Marshall I've ever played that I truly loved was my buddy's 76 (77? 78? somewhere in there) JMP. OG green muff into that thing was pure bliss.

Also, for those who aren't facebook buds with me, here's what I did last week. The headshells on these Carvins are ridiculously huge compared to the required space for the chassis/tubes/etc. No, I didn't build this headshell (was going to try my hand at it, but found this one for $50, so it was a no-brainer what with the 90-100 degree afternoons), but we did modify it in a few ways to get the amp locked in there nice and snug. It's imperfect, but only if you're right on it; it is gonna look GOOOOOOOOD on top of my incoming Atlas cabs.

I need two grill cloths made for my Sunn 215BH cab. I don't have any wood working tools or skills. I figure I could staple the grill cloth on or if someone could do that it would be great but I don't know of any places to find someone that does this. Any ideas?

If you feel like taking a long drive down to my work here in Salinas, I help you out with that. Not super convenient, I know, but the offer is out there if you want to take me up on it.

Maybe, I don't head down that direction too often but I'd like to see the Orca's in Monterey Bay before the summer is out. I'll let you know.

I just had a quick fidget with the Dunn de 1984 that came in today.
Those of you thinking about this 5150 in a box thing should pick up a Redeemer (renamed 1984) as this is a fucking great distortion box.

Waiting for Christian to edit my post into something more entertaining.

I've been curious about these. I've had two of the Peavey 5150 script heads..I would like to see an A-B-C comparison between a Peavey 5150, a Redeemer/1984 into a clean amp, and one of the MXR 5150 pedals. I'm fairly sure the MXRs are based on the Fender 5150 IIIs though.

Anybody ever use a Mr Black Overdriver? Our merch guy was selling a bunch of his stuff to buy a Mesa Stiletto and I got it off of him to help him out. He runs it to boost a Laney in his hardcover band. Sounds cool and his tone is killer but I've never got to play with it before. Supposedly a low gain od with no tone but a presence knob instead. Sounds like it has potential to stack with other stuff pretty well.
