Mad GAS'ing for a Dot Studio with Black Winters in it...
Word up, man. The Century is a steal for what a solid-ass workhorse it is, and I love the Studio. Wanna drop a GFS Dream 180 in the bridge and either a Bigmouth or a Fat Pat in the neck.

Also, got this guy installed this morning:

It's a custom 4x EL84, tube rectified, volume + 3 band eq amp. It's fucking loud. I'm gonna assume class A(?). Tons of headroom, British sounding, gobs of low end. It's gnarly for a small amp, I love it. Right now I'm playing it through a alnico loaded 2x12, simultaneously with my YBA-1A through a 4x12 right below it.

Definitely more in that route than a Vox. I love it. It's like a 30w version of my Custom 100. But it's almost just as loud!
I gotta open it up and send pics to Ben so he can confirm. He built it so long ago he doesn't remember off the top of his head.

I got ear-fatigue checking out this thread.....a backache too.

Humble submission:

I'm brokering a 3-way international deal for a matamp slave that I've had sitting idle in a roadcase for too long.
Also been shopping another proper cab, empty, for a quad of old medusas that have also been sitting around doing nothing. Checking out an old beater Laney 4x12 after my shift.

Yes, small by design. I used to be like you guys....stack after stack, unusable rooms, cabs for the helluvit. Hoarding.

I realized I was using the same two or three heads and no more than two cabs no matter where I played. Even at the Mexican beachside clubs where there are zero volume restrictions, I never used more than a fullstack. So I kept it pragmatic. Did a recent swap for an unused head which should show up soon, another cab tomorrow to put me back at a manageable 2 & 2....and there's an unpictured bass-rig as well.

Nothing wrong with scaling down to what you use. But i do end up utilizing everything I have, I record a lot and I like changing the set up on what I'm using for different projects so it's at the least 2 different heads on 2 different cabs or 4 different heads on 4 different cabs. live I've only been regulated by transportation on what I use. I played last night using 2 rigs and since it was literally 5 mins away I almost went and picked up a 3rd rig cause the stage could support that 3rd one... only reason I didn't was knowing the loadout after the show.
