This makes me more proud than every song I've ever written combined. These two boys are amazing. Big brother said he was going to teach his little brother how to play guitar so they could be in a band together.
That's absolutely outstanding, my dude. Congrats. Kids are the best.

Kids and music... definitely one of the many fun aspects of having children. My son, who just turned 8, loves going to shows. His first was the Melvins at age 4. Since then he's seen Yob, the Body, Neurosis, Clutch, the Melvins a second time, and of course the bands who toured with/opened for those. Being able to share concerts with him has really been great. For christmas, all he wanted was a ticket to see clutch. So we went... when asked where he wanted to go..."to the front" knowing full well it was going to get a bit rowdy. He hung in there against the front rail the whole night.

As someone who has no intention of reproducing, I'm super pumped to see good folks with good tastes in music making rad little ones who will doubtless grow up to be equally awesome. Congrats, Clifton!

Dude, that's what's up. Your kid is far more badass than 80% of the people on this board. Congrats on THAT.

samzadgan wrote:"Wizards not wands" beautifully put man.
Edit: actually that's pretty hypocritical of me to say, given my unwizardy wand-full gear, but i agree that most any gear can be used well, depending on the player.

Hey, it's that guy. How goes everything in working on a new record land?
Speaking of Drivers/cars/wizards/wands: that ILF collabo-record that encapsulated that same idea has just been wrapped up:

I can never keep up with this thread, so I only come here for shameless self promotion because I think you guys might like it. I'm sorry for spamming this all over the place, but I put like ALL of my time in this stuff so I'd like people to actually hear it. Anyway! My band has released a first debut full length album a couple of weeks ago. It's out on Consouling Sounds on vinyl and CD! I play the guitar and wreck my voice. Reviewers can't seem to put their finger on the genre, but it's noiserock/sludge/doom/noise (some even mention black metal) related.
We also made a videoclip (and went tremendously overbudget). Anyway, really happy with how it came out!

Tape will be out on Tartarus, but in some way it's out already. You can read the story about that and stream the release through CVLT Nation:

Just finished up a 3 day run with Crawl and Hexxus on the last dates of their tour. Crawl always kicks ass live, but Hexxus absolutely blew me away. A Rat into a Beta Lead with one of the heaviest tones I have ever heard. I'll be uploading some stuff to youtube today but in the meantime check out their bandcamp.
