Does it doom?
Oh yes, it dooms.
It even goes into HM-2 territory.
And you can't beat the price :animal:

It looks like a cartoon robot with a red moustache.
I can't argue with that.

thats the best description of that pedal!

conky wrote:My buddy has a Rockerverb MK2 and thought he had a microphonic preamp tube so he brought it over to see if we could figure out what was up with it. After rolling some tubes around we ended up figuring that one of the EL34s in it were bad. I didn't have a set of EL34 to pop in but we put some JJ KT88s in there and holy goddamn, that amp sounds so good with them. The dirty channel was nailing everything from light crunch to thick death metal tones but what sounded best were the mid gain From Ashes Rise / HHIG tones. The clean channel went from being sterile to really fat and round. Didn't put any fuzz on it but I imagine it will take pedals really well and get huge tones. Sounded so good. I was never a fan of Rockerverbs before that and I don't like KT88s in my Model T but I love them in his Orange.

And all this Quantum Mystic talk is making me miss having one.

this makes me really want to fast track the plan to change out the tubes in my Thunderverb to KT88's!

I was thinking about your thunderverb today, actually.
I need to keep a look out for music stores that can't move 200w amps so they slash the price on them.
Well, actually I need to find a shop that does that with any stock.
And then I need to find one that doesn't have the obligatory "it's music gear" mark up.
And then I need to find one of those that doesn't do the obligatory "and it's Orange" mark up.

I know what you mean man. Its rediculous pricing here. The funny thing is I've seen some second hand ones being sold on eBay for a higher price then I got mine.

I will still have to pay through the ass for the 4x12 cab when i come to buying one. I will have to/want to buy the Orange cab for it. The one they made for my head has celestion k100 like my matamp cab and is one of few cabs that is 8 Ohms.

this seems like it would be really cool. I have relatively good tolerance to arty films where nothing happens...I did watch the The Turin Horse and i dug it, as opposed to my mate who left the cinema half way through that film...but a 7 hour trailer might be too much for me.

Sam, give us a shout out about your cab in a few months.
I got some woodworking tools off my grandfather and I'm looking to build one or two for myself. If I don't suck too hard, I'd be happy to knock you one up for cost of materials. That way if you find some speakers you like on the cheap you can send em to me or something and get what you want.

Used gear prices down here are out of fucking control. These dicks need their heads pulled in.

Fuck yeah man...that would be cool. Australia is sorely lacking in the cab department, and over priced. I would love to do it but im as good with woodworking as i am with...well anything im not good at (witty blackadder analogy was taking way too long)
