lol. I'm trying to help, I can finally play two amps again, I got more speakers, and even though I don't need it I'm gonna try out Corey's 6x12 just in case it sparks interest in buying it off of him.

If only you were in Europe. Shipping that Sound City here would be a PITA and cost at least a kidney.

Financially doomed doesn't count?

My checking account is super bleak and grim, so maybe it's more black metal.

 I just have too much stuff... and I'll likely end up keeping whichever amp doesn't sell... and I won't exactly be heartbroken if no one bites at either, frankly...

Blasé is doom, right?

Factual on both counts, sadly...

Did some recording last weekend and couldn't figure out why I was struggling. Then Monday morning I took my temperature, realized I was running a super high fever...I'm thinking that's why I was shaky and had gross clammy hands all weekend lol.

Talk about doomed.. this morning I discovered that Windows 10 has gone Skynet on me and I lost everything on my computer. We had just finished recording an AiC cover, too. Lost artwork for upcoming albums and a bunch of other band related stuff. On a brighter note, test presses for s new Shroud Eater 7in came in and sound great.

Ugh, conky that sucks.
Hope you can recover it dude.
Have you tried installing Ubuntu or something on trial boot to see if you can recover it?

I know this is very un-doom but I just moved into a new house and its older and echoey and weird and resonant and basically I can't turn my amp up past 2 without the whole house shaking. Which would be cool but it's kind of a decent neighborhood and I don't wanna be a shitty new neighbor.

I have one of those Dr. Z attenuators and it works well for this sort of thing, taming a loud non master volume amp. Of course if you attenuate it down to whisper bedroom levels it starts to sound kind of weak because the speakers stop working but the Dr. Z does a good job of taming volume when you need it.

This makes me think of another option - switch to a 1x12?

I just had a 2x12 built for me haha. I have a smaller amp for when I need to be quieter. It's not a huge deal I guess. I'll just play loud when all the normal people are at work.

My friend runs a computer business so I'm gonna take it to him and see what he can do.

:thumb: That's handy.
Good luck dude. I wanna hear that AiC cover.

Also, when I move and we're into our own house I'm gonna hit you up about ordering whatever vinyl is in the Divine Mother back catalogue and stocked.
This transience has been holding back my record collecting and general being a magpie of rad shit.

I know this pain. It is an awful pain. Hopefully you have better luck than I did, and your stuff gets recovered.

Unrelated, but I made this the other day, because why not?

I saw Glassjaw last night, and this band that opened for them, Silver Snakes, was SUUUPER rad. Let me see if I can find one of their videos. Their vocals aren't super doomy, but I really enjoyed their CD.
