I think I asked this before, but anyone in/going to be in Austin? We're playing the MetalSucks showcase w/ Conan, which should be a helluva time.

That's super rad, dude!! Congratulations on that. It's a life goal to one day get to do a cool showcase at sxsw.

Hey dude. We were offered the Metalsucks showcase, but we're concentrating on the new record. Have fun!

Dudes, I need some advice. We've been offered a deal by a Romanian label to put our full length on vinyl. The album has been remixed and remastered for vinyl and is ready to go. The only thing is that it would have to be on a double LP due to sequencing and song length. The label wants to trim it down and release half and call it something else due to budgets or whatever. I'd love nothing more than to have it on vinyl and the deal is very good so I dunno. I'm confused and kinda torn. Do I say yes or no? I mean one part of me wants to cut a song or two because they were the oldest and we've grown so much but the other part of me wants to say no because I sort of feel like I'm selling out.

Don't overthink it?
Trim a couple of tunes for the vinyl but put all of the songs on the digital download because most of the time I buy a record and spin it once while I'm using the download codes to load it up into iTunes and onto my phone.

Split it into two LP's, and issue the one with them as Part 1. Then if it sells well they can do the other LP, and eventually release the repress as the originally intended double LP. Mastering / plating will be paid for, so it'll just be new covers to repress it as a double. Or you can do the 2nd LP pre-tour for merch...

cut the older songs, put them with digital download or offer up as a 7in later or something like that.

^ Seems like a good idea and one that would be easy to pitch to a business.

Both of these. SLK's is probably more feasible/palatable.

Wed March 16 at Dirty Dog Bar. I think we play at 9, Conan at 11 or 12.

Thanks man, we're looking forward to it. To any of y'all thinking about doing SXSW, though, I would totally be prepared for a stressful ride. I don't know how our agent dude deals with this stuff without pulling his damn hair out.

Right on, my dude. Would've been rad to lay down the heavies together. Stoked to hear the new record!

Cut the songs. SLK's idea of digital and/or 7 in would be the way to go. Hell, part of our deal with 20BS is that we will keep each album to single-LP length. 2XLP apparently doesn't sell nearly as well and is expensive as hell.
And, hell, if you get well known you can reissue it "as originally intended" in 2xlp format and get paid
