I was checking some info on these because they pop up for decent prices all the time around here and apparently there have been a lot of versions that are all a bit different from each other... Wich one did you get ?
Yeah, apprantly I got the good one

Here's a good source that can give you the full time line better than I could:
http://www.kitrae.net/music/History_of_ ... lones.htmlBut in short: Mine's from the first edition D&S Maxons. They're supposed to be based on the ram's head "violet" muff circuit from that era, but with a modified tone stack. An "improved" tone stack even, depending on what source you want to believe

The CHR-1, right? How does it sound? I had the KORG KCH-301 for the awesome PME-40X system twice and I couldn't bond with it (the other modules are great, but the analog chorus is
meh!). I prefer BOSS CE-2ish chorus. I think the CHR-1 looks very strange with that stereo output plug on the top. But if it sounds good I might buy one soon.

Link to a good comparison of the vintage boxes...
https://youtube.com/watch?v=0zvKvNUKKIMPretty sure there were somthing like 3 variations of the older box and the circuit remained the same. The difference was the switching / buffering changed throughout the different versions.

I have a huge painful boner for all the Fairfield stuff right now. I've loved all of them that I've tried. The only two I haven't are the four eyes and barbershop but I want to try both of them.
Tax time is a dangerous season.

I am so conflicted about Djungelvral, I need to eat more to see if I actually like it.
Naw, I'm saving it so I don't glutton it down, It's pretty tasty once you get over the shock of the initial saltiness.
The Fubar is everything I wanted, it can be both a pretty awesome straight-face fuzz and then a balls to the wall crazy oscillating explosion at the press of a button.

I just wish I could try it out with my actual amp, but circumstances don't allow me.

Also, for those of you that remember my Raptio Odyssey in which I had TWO separate Raptios break, turns out my buddy actually went and sent it back to their factory and they repaired/replaced it, so I have a free Raptio incoming...hopefully for the last time.
