Bell Witch is a killer live band. Crazy that it's just two dudes.

I'm pretty curious tbh, I bought something from him once and it works fine, but it took forever. What happen?

Just lots of inconsistencies with what he says and what he does. "It's shipping" and it still doesn't ship type shit.

that don't surprise me. It was a long ass while since I got the splitter he made, but that doesn't sound unfamiliar.

Also:

*whispers*

the new Baroness album is good. it's not super metal. which is fine.

Wait, is this still Purple?
Or have they released more of the colour spectrum?
Please tell me it doesn't just meander about aimlessly like Yellow and Green did.

It's Purple and it has a lot more cohesion and energy than Y&G. Not everything on it is fuck-yeah-fist-through-the-roof-of-my-dang-house but most of the songs are really, really good, and everything flows very well.

FCOAW I think is now on a one in, one out, invite only basis.I could be wrong about this, but wasn't it started by one of us from the old HC DR? Was cool at first, but public, and blew up to fast with to many idiots joining. The restrictions have been helping it lately, Most serious inquiries have gotten good response lately, but it's still to big and to many bs posts.

I'm no Funeral Doom aficionado, but I can attest to Bell Witch's radness live. Holding a note for what feels like, ever, and then without looking coming in perfectly in time is as impressive to me as any shreddy finger mangly fancy thing. More so, because it demonstrates focus, as well as patience.

Three songs in and I don't disagree. My buddy said he enjoyed it a helluva lot better than Yellow and Green. Three songs in and I'm on board with that assessment, too.

To me it's like how I didn't like the last Mastodon album but thought the latest was a lot better. We'll see how I feel about Purple after a few more listens.

I don't really see that many BS posts on FCAW. There seems to be a weekly meltdown of someone who goes off about how the members there hate on line 6 or amp moddling unfairly and they are allowed to cry for awhile but if they haven't left by the end of the night they are banned. so that's always hilarious.

There's just enough of goofy shit to balance out the serious posts. Hell it seems like the people who post the most in there I'm friends with and talk to outside of the church so there's that.

I still have a lot more listening to do, but Asunder is fucking awesome. So is Mournful Congregation. I had already heard Bell Witch, and they are insane. I definitely agree that it is unreal that it is just two people.
Thank you guys so much! Y'all are awesome!

It's probly been mentioned already, but Dylan from Bell Witch owns the best vegan, metal club in Seattle- the Highline. I do believe both the weed shop next door and the dildo shop below are now closed- so while it was once certifiably PERFECT, it's still a pretty fucking badass club.

Highline kicks so much ass. Unless you're playing there and the elevator doesn't work -- those stairs are pretty brutal.

Yeah, far as I know that elevator's been down for awhile. Had to do the stair-carry the last two times we played there. Fucking thing did work at one time, but the building owner doesn't seem to give a shit about the aching backs of aging rockers.

have you guys toured in the UK yet? ugh. if not, you're in for a treat, and by treat i mean lots of long steep narrow staircases in buildings that predate elevators. there's a venue in glasgow we did that takes the cake. third floor, steep and punishing stairs. brutal.
