Power handling isn't a huge concern, it's for my 15w amp for home that I just bought (in a 1x12). Trying to find something readily available and reasonably affordable that gets in the territory of my Celestion Rola G12-80's. Big low end, smooth highs that don't get fizzy. The stock G12H30 that was in that cab sounded awful (for MY taste) with my fuzzes, no balls and made everything sound fizzy to me.
I really like my Swamp Thangs. I think there is somebody else here that really likes them, too, but I can't compare them with Cannabis Rex. I'm also not slamming them with fuzz currently but I have in the past. Can't compare them to the G12-80 either. They sound great with my Mesa. I noticed some fizziness but I'm not sure if that's just a by product of the Boogie or not.

I ordered one, was able to get a discount from MF even though it didn't show up under their cyber monday sale. So we'll see how it works out.

This thing.

oh also didn't post it yest but I bid on this right before I left Atlanta just to throw a bid on it.
So I have a second Butcher coming now. Merry Xmas to me.

That's Author and Punisher. Saw him in Baltimore while on tour. It was intense. Congrats on the Butcher too.

Not had the swamp thang, but i had a 2x12 with the cannabis rex with my Jet city 50...its nice and smooth. They dont have huge low end, but also dont have piercing highs either...mid focuses speaker like V30, but smoother

Thanks conky, I knew it was Author & Punisher I meantioned them in the post right before that one in response to's sam's desire for not a time keep drummer but a percussionist.
I never really listened to him till recently. great stuff.
The cannibas Rex sounds like the Swamp Things, but seems more 'rounder' to my ears. I've used both and wouldn't mind getting some more REx's but you pretty much get the same thing with the swamp thangs.

Yeah, scrolling through my phone real quick I missed where you mentioned that. For a one man deal, the amount of layers he can do live is amazing.

That there is my favorite release/ video of him. It works amazingly. and actually seeing him perform it makes it better overall.
