I like different pizzas, but there's just different shit I don't want on it. mash, broccoli, and white sauce is a no.
had a great gumbo pizza where the sauce is rue and had sausage and crawfish and shrimp all over it with some other assorted. I took the shrimp off though. i don't like em.
i do like getting pizza with BBq sauce instead of red.
I also hate a sloppy fucking pizza, it needs to be crisp. if I hold it by the crust alone and it doesn't stand straight out, i'm going to bitch about it and probably not bother eating it. It's like every joint keeps cooking them less and less trying to get them out quicker and if I'm picking it up I go home and directly put it in the toaster oven to finish cooking it.

I don't mind wacky toppings, but soggy crust and white sauce are dealbreakers for me too.

I grew up on the east coast and maintain that the pizza you can get in New englad is the best. That said I just found a place that does Giant ass slices right down the road from my home. 1/8th of a 30 inch pie. They dont fit on a normal serving tray. Despite the large size they still past whichever crispness test you adhere to.
Congrats to Parker! Rad news.

This. Gf loves thin crust, and therefore that's what we usually get. Most days I'd love a much thicker crust though. Fluffy with a crispy bottom.

Now see when it comes to deep dish, that sounds kinda gross. A huge slice of thin crust? It's acceptable. Not quite what I want, but acceptable. Deep dish Chicago style? I agree with John.
There's a fine line where pizza is perfect. I haven't had a perfect slice in a while, so the search goes on...
