I tried super hard, and sometimes try to this day. It feels like I'm splitting in two whenever I play it. My brain just doesn't want to process it especially when I started playing left handed instruments.

Yeah that's how I feel if I have to play lefty now. Or write lefty. but if you give me a baseball bat or something I cannot swing it right handed without feeling like a gnarled waste of coordination.

Does it have to be Fender? There are a few other companies that offer that pickup combination, and they've got to have lefty models?

I haven't looked it around, for some reason I tend to ignore smaller companies and only look at Fender or Rickenbacker (in my fucking dreams).

I don't know why I haven't broken out of that mold yet, it's definitely a good idea though. I imagine smaller companies left-handed models are even more overpriced though (which I don't get why they'd have to be in the first place. Does cutting wood the opposite direction really cost that much more?)

Looking forward to having a four string. I love my VI, but sometimes you just want to smash some deep lows.

Not that I've played a Bass VI many times, but every time I do its the string spacing that messes with me. Feels too much like a guitar to me no matter how it sounds.

Smashing will be easier because of this

Everything I've ever read seems to point toward sales being the big thing. There's only so many bassists, and only so many of them are left handed.

Off the top: Ibanez make a ton of lefty basses. This is actually such a good TB question, though.

I refuse to post on TB because the forum layout makes me hate my god damn life. Also the users make me hate my life. I also just hate my life, I don't need more reasons.

you can google it pretty easily with the 'site:' thing.

TB is a little like Being There only you can't figure out if you're Peter Sellers or if you're the normal one.
