I know someone else who got an Atlas Moth amp and is turning around immediately and getting rid of it.
he got it for the design of the moth and some cash and he's probably only had it a month but was selling it 2 weeks after he got it. he said it's nice but not what he wanted.I can only pretend to be smart

I'm not good at it.

That's Matt, the other guitarist in the band.
Also, I've always wanted to check out the Novik amps to see how close they were to the Redbears.

I listened to it today for the first time. The song reminded me of something off of Undisputed Attitude which is good. I guess that is Bostaph's drumming coming through. The guitar tones don't sound like Slayer though, or Slayer that I remember. The last one they put out that I listened to was God Hates Us All.

agree on the guitar tone...i think thats part of the Holt factor. I listened to it a few times today, and I have to admit, I'm looking forward to listening to whole album now.

well small small world!
and well to my ears they are pretty far removed from redbears and closer to orange/matamp territory. Now I've spent little time with both but I have played on a Mata green a friend of mine ordered and an older OR120. and to me it was that big burly warm fuzz. also so damn loud loud... and I mean that as in the best chest caving way

I really loved God Hates us All.
World Painted Blood had some really Divine Intervention feels to it, which was rad, but overall...
I gotta give this new one a spin yet.

I saw them on the GHuA tour. Was pretty fucking awesome, but it was mostly classics -- I think the only new song they played was maybe the title track on that album?. Got to hear Chemical Warfare, which is DA BES SLAYER SONG ever.

Normally I'm not with you on taste matters, but this was pretty much my exact experience. It just fell flat in a way that I couldn't really point my finger at, to much the same maybe? I dunno, but now I think about it, that's the last slayer I bought and I have not really even critically listened to anything after Seasons.

To be brutal, I feel like Slayer started pulling an ACDC.

Yes...i agree completely.
But, without wanting to repeat myself, the new track has my attention.
Also live...fuck...i have not been a better live set than any slayer gig. There's just something special about slayer gigs.
