They hold up really well. My Emperor and Atlas cabs look way better than all of my cabs with tolex and I treat them the same. They come with a slip on cover and that keeps the deep gouges from happening. As long as you aren't careless and just hurling your shit in and out of the van it won't be an issue.

That's what I like to hear, not like I will be taking it on tour anytime soon, but at least I know lugging it back and forth to my brother in laws house to jam, it will stay in one piece.
