at the moment the synth just runs into the PA...but i will be buying a solid state combo to use for it...thinking a cheap peavey bass combo...something clean and with a 15' speaker.

I have the Bass version and I love it.
It's a Wah, Expression, Volume. My take on it is it takes up less board space, however you still need to allow room for you foots on there

thanks dude, that's why I am always on the fence about mini pedals, especially volume effects, I think I should just place a sneaker on my board and that's the size my volume pedal should be.
As you can see volume pedal takes up a ton of space for what it does, I don't do swells a ton but i do adjust volume alot on the fly if I need to build into a part of a song or if I step on a drive pedal and my son has cranked the knobs up without me knowing.
For me though a volume pedal has to be something you can hit without thinking about it much, do you ever swing and miss on the hotone?

I'm liking the Hotone volume, as well. My favorite part is that you can actually turn it off, so you don't hit it by accident.
It helps that it is a bit taller than the Randy's on my board.
I have a rehearsal tonight, so we'll see how many knobs I hit in stage use.

I've never had a strike (missed) with the pedal. But I use a PT Jr and an OG Volume or Wah would take up 1/3 of the space on my board.
I highly endorse this product

This is what I've settled on:
(Obviously not my usual settings for the fuzzes)
The only thing I feel I'm missing is a tremolo but I'd use it so infrequently, it's hard to justify adding it and finding the space. Oh, and I'm probably gonna swap the Micro Amp for my Distortion+ once it gets back from being modded.
When I see the 2-knob Fuzz War online, I feel like mine has a weird third nipple or something.
