Re: Count To Five
hi
i will release a firmware update in a few days that changes the gate. units since several weeks ago are already shipping with this fix, so i will post the most current shipping firmware for people who have the device from earlier in the run. You will need windows and a USB A to mini b cable. If you don't have windows, make friends with someone who does this weekend. Eventually I will have cross platform updater but not that soon so better not to wait up. The rest of the info/binary will go up on the weekend.

Re: Count To Five
yayaya okok i am looking into os x solution too, but i haven't owned anything made by apple in 10 years (thank god) so i will have to pick something up or borrow one to deal completely. you can boot camp any modern mac to windows in the end though, since they ultimately abandoned ppc and g sereis for intel. but for now there is only a tested windows boot loader as provided by the manufacturer of the main cpu. sorry if that hurts your feelings, but that's life.
this will probably be a lot of fun with people trying to upgrade firmware, but let's roll the dice and see how they land. I'll post an update this weekend to handle gate issue and lets call it "punch in" location as requested by mr. vidret in several posts prior to this.

I can borrow a Windows computer - no probs. And XP SP2 is a great OS.

Re: Count To Five
haha now we are talking.
but more seriously it works on win 7 and 8, since even i don't run xp any more. I have tested it on these.
really not trying to make this about os',s but just being up front now, for this weekend there will only be windows instructions/solutions.obviously the ideal is a tri os solution (linux,os x, win), which we will work towards.

Re: Count To Five
I took a break while working today and got a fun drone going... I decided to lazily capture it.
early 70s electra les paul -> blackout effectors whetstone phaser -> smallsound/bigsound mini -> count to five to set the loop (mode 2). then the post fx are the dr scientist cosmichorus -> tc flashback x4 (custom toneprint) -> tc trinity reverb (hall) ----> vox ac4

ok how do i get the video to show up i am dumb

Hello.
Here's a little improvisation I did with the Count to Five. It's not brilliant.
My signal chain is a Mr Black Thunderclaw into the Count to Five, set to Mode 1. I use a Boss volume pedal to control the feedback on the CT5. The CT5 runs into a Kilobyte Delay Lo-Fi Delay then into a Infanem Small Echo Array. DI'd straight into Amplitube 3, Ableton Live. The guitar is a Warmoth Jazzmaster.
My apologies for the mistakes and bum notes. This isn't really an amazing display of the pedal, but I was kinda wanting to illustrate how amazing this is for making noise, but also it's ultra controllable.
In my experience with the pedal.
I've noticed you can only seem to get the pedal to quantize without an expression pedal, or at least in my case.
I also noticed, if you change the delay time whilst there's a delay occurring it kills the delayed repeats in mode 1?
Finally, the ability to save the quantization would be super useful.
ANYWAY. I love the bloody thing and I haven't used it nowhere near as much as I should have, however I'm starting up a new band and this thing will probably define the sound of it. I'm hoping to introduce a number of people to it soon!
