Awesome! Please remember the V2 is the #1 pedal in need of demos.

Incoming-Mountainking Rukus and Earthquaker Acapulco Fuzz. Couldn't pass up the deals. Sigh.

I need to hear your thoughts on the Ruckus II on bass, I've come close to ordering one many times but there's no good demos out there. PM me in case I miss it.

It's not on the Mountainking website anymore (maybe discontinued?).
Jwar got mine from the BST. Can't wait to know how it is on bass too. :joy:

Alan assured me the Ruckus and Huge Box Twos are coming back soon. I know he has a revision planned for the Huge Box, maybe for the Rucks also? I've been helping him a tiny bit with some of the pedal descriptions for his web site, I only gave him a little bit of feedback, but quite honored to be asked, and a few pointers I offered ended up on the page! :thumb:

You're lucky to have a good relation with Alan. He build cool effects.
When I ordered from him it was a nightmare.

Is that the G2?

Yup. Apparently has a LPF in addition to the original filter, which is fucking perfect.

Famous last words. ;)

Right? I went to the MuffWiggler store when I was in Portland and finally got to get my hands on actual modular gear. It was overwhelming as fuck  If/when I decide to get into modular, I'm gonna do it way slow. Someone in the modular thread posted about how acquiring modules should be a slow process so you can learn them through and through. After playing with some in the store I really think that's the way to go, because creative patching seems to take a lot of time and knowledge that I don't have now. Or just wasn't able to connect the dots very fast. The 4MS Multibank Filter seems like an endless playground with the proper understanding. Definitely want one of those in my life

I found it combing through the comments of their prototype soundclips which they responded to.
But their page is no longer loading for me :idk:
https://soundcloud.com/rare-waves/

But this one clip is still working

From the SC page, which is still up for me. "I think there will eventually be a stand-alone version. Probably not in a surplus ammo box though.. haha. Thanks for your comments. "

Here's the link to the DC2 Demo page:
https://soundcloud.com/rare-waves/sets/ ... -prototype

Sounds good. Probably won't pick one up since I still have my DC and even with a LPF it doesn't seem different enough to justify over, like, an Acidbox or something.

I don't think I knew that was a thing. Looks awesome.
The computer I'm using won't load audio/videos so I can't watch the demo :grumpy:

& I still have that 6 Oscillator Drone Synth sitting at home I've barely touched and I'm thinking about more drone synths

It's like 5 sound cloud files.

It sounds, perhaps unsurprisingly, like a Drone Commander. Not quite the same, but similar.

If you're thinking of parting with it, hmu.

The only reason I haven't played with it is because it was finished being built right before I started traveling.
But if for some reason I want/need to part with it, I'll keep you in mind.

Yeah, that's a good attitude to have :thumb: .

Also, people easily tend to focus almost more on the gear and the gear acquisition than on actually using it with modulars. That's partly because making/choosing the system is actually a part of the music-making process but not only :). People just love toys, even more for modulars than pedals.

Anyway, I just rediscovered the joy of using just a few effect pedals (overdrive/reverb/overdrive/delay) with my bass yesterday and I had lots of fun with not that much gear. Next step is to have that at the same time as the modular I guess. I might need some more bass-friendly fuzz to put after that reverb now I suppose :). Yeah, pedals might not be better than modulars actually... :animal:
