I think it's hilarious that you like the Nickelback of Stoner Rock, myself.

Oh don't take it like I'm any sort of rabid fan. Mainly just like the first album, and just prefer it over the other band. That's all.

Sanity restored.

I would go to that show just to see Whores blow them off the stage, though. And that's not even "oh I know this dude on the internet" favoritism -- Sword are boring as fuck live.

They're pretty boring on recordings, too.

thats great...whether Sword is good anymore or not...or what they are like live...this is great exposure man...well done!

Also, agreed with Nick on the Hi-Tone...vintage amps are cool, but on the other forum im on, there's all types of stories about vintage amps not handeling the touring life. Ofcourse, there are the exceptions that are still in really good condition, or ones that have been completely restored (cost about as much as the amp itself).

I saw Pallbearer on Saturday night...gotta admit...i was a little bored about half way through their set. I was analysing my bordem on the way home...and i think the thing for me is that, the last time I saw them they blew me away and they only played 4 songs (supporting YOB)...on their albums i can easily listen to and enjoy it all the way through...but live, when they play the best of the two albums, and play like 7 songs...it all starts to sound the same after about the 4th song. On the albums there is a bit more variety, but when they condense it down to best of...there is a lack of dynamism...i think.

Anyway...it may also be due to do with the fact that the local band that supported them, Hawkmoth...was fucking incredible! They absolutely stole the show for me. I bought their CD at the merch table and listened to it on sunday while i was driving the moving truck...and the whole things is really good.

You guys should check (if you havent) Hawkmoth...really good instrumental
