Also, you've been getting some really great percussion Instruments :thumb: are you experimenting with using effect pedals on them with success? Would be great to hear some of your experimenting :joy:

Opinions on the Peavey Heritage VTX? I may be picking one up tomorrow. Loud/clean/takes fuzz?

I think dealers got them in yesterday. Several places have them listed on Reverb, at least they did. My was an "unused" flip from kid koala, ended up saving a few bucks and getting it a day or two earlier.

I really don't have much to compare it to in my experience, but it sounds beautiful to me. Of course, I am a guy who just tuned his guitar the other day for the first time in a month and haven't changed the strings in 2.5 years. So, my taste may not be everyone else's taste in sound. Rest assured though, based on my research, the cork-sniffing hoi polloi hold the Castledine in high regard; so there's that: instant cork-cred.

I have found it very inspirational thus far and it goes nicely with some lo fi type pedals like the Demo Tap Fuzz, Cloudbuster, and Echo Degrader. I also had a lot of fun running it into a Moog Midi Murf which is a pedal I don't typically use on guitar. But, fun gurgles and shit like that there were to be had so I ran with it.

Percussion experiments successful? I guess that depends on how you define success. I'm having fun with it. The glock/bells have worked well. The Udu drum definitely needs to be miked internally as it kinda a quite piece of gear (I am a bit disappointed in the acoustic volume level). I haven't tried miking the bongos yet. Rest assured I will. And yes, check out my channel that Chankgeez put up. I post some masturbation sequences every now and then. Remember that my percussion stuff may not always sound like percussion though. :)

I'd be lying if I said that the art wasn't apart of the reason I bought it (it was also $100, what a fucking price)
