not a bad idea at all man...when we get our own place (hopefully soon as inlaws place is killing me...) i will have to set my shit up properly. i'm hoping to have my own room for my shit and ill put a fucking deadlock on it with chains and shit, so no body fucks with my shit!

(was there enough fuck and shit in that post?)

also...Whores...I've listened to a bunch of songs (randomly) which I dug...for whatever reason never go around to buying and listening to a whole album...I need to do that! Which album should I get first?

the kids are too small to understand any kind of reason...very exciteable and very determined. The other day my wife was told by an old woman to control her kids...she told her to fuck off...but then again, our son was going down a travelator laying down on his belly...

just bought both Whores albums...i think all the tracks i had listened to date had been from Clean...

Thanks dude!

What loud bass heads do you guys like? I'm talking a single head here, not multiple rig craziness that y'all are so fond of.

SVT. All day long. I like the vintage reissues a little better than the cl's, but either way is a winner. Into an 8x10 fridge of course.

Acoustic 370 is pretty killer too if you're looking for something a little cheaper and solid state.

I actually like the Mesa 400+ as well. They sound great, but holy fucking tubes! 12 6l6's ain't going to be a cheap retube, although supposedly the amp is designed so that you get a lot of miles out of a set.

Seems like they could've accomplished the same thing with 8 6550s. Probably the same space, but still...4 less tubes.

Mesa's never done an amp with 6550's and even el34's are pretty scarce in their lineup. They're really attached to designing around the 6l6. The 400 bass amps were pretty closely based off the old d-180 guitar amp, which I'd love to find myself. I'm guessing they were trying to stay pretty true to that platform. Add tubes to increase power, but not changing the basic power section.

All of this is good (also the Mesa 400, no +, is rad too). I'll add in the old OrMats and Oranges just to say that we did, but SVT is kind of the end all be all of loud bass heads.

Bueno.

I gotta ask, the fact that the A in sustain slant to the right and the other two slant to the left is something I can't see.

Also Gallien Krueger 700/800rb or even the 1001, but the smaller ones sound better and are loud as fuck into an 810. Reeves/Hiwatt 200/400? Peavey Classic 400?

Likely used the capital version for one of them and the non-cap for the others (or vice versa). Hence the difference in slant.
