The Casio SK-5 was my first instrument ever. I kind of want it back.

That is fucking incredible! Really funny how a $50 keyboard and ~$300 in pedals can make sounds on par with a ~$2000 synth. What exactly is going on with the TimeBender? You just instilled some serious GAS!

Sounds like the timebender doing its multitap arpeggiator thing, if I am not mistaken. I know I am something of a broken record, but the timebender is so wonderful. I mean, sure I wouldn't pass up a dd-500 or a triple flashback or some strymon/eventide bullshit, but the timebender was $109, has a ton of features, and makes me happy. This demo ruled. Thank for the reminder I don't always need more synths.

Yeah, some of the most enjoyable music I've made was done mostly with a Casio SK-1, a few effects (including a Clavia Micromodular, might have been cheating a bit there) and a looper.
Once you know a small setup like that well enough to play it like an instrument and not a collection of boxes with knobs and buttons, you're good to go

.

The timbender has a thing called envelope mode, which is basically a tremolo kinda deal, where repeats change waveshape instead. The voicing knob pitch shifts each stutter and I think I set it to a 5th and an octave up.

Haha I thought I was the broken record timebender promoter around here. You got it for the clearance price?? I remember seeing it and seriously thinking about buying another, but back then I wasn't as gear hungry as I am now. I bought mine when then first came out, as my first delay pedal lol.

I haven't experimented enough with envelope mode, gotta admit. Mostly stick to Reverse, Digital, Variable Tape, and Analog. I actually got it for $109 off ebay. Like no one else bid, so I scooped it up. Was shitting around considering things like a dd-500 or flashback or echolution or even the empress superdelays. Got the timebender (largely bc of your videos, I think, and pedalsandeffects) and love it. Need to spend a lot more time with it. Last time I did my ambient/industrial techno thing, my partner ran home made tape loops through a timebender and a particle, it was magic.
I always want more delays though, they're kind of a thing. I wouldn't say no to a second timebender. My only complaint is the sometimes low volume of the repeats. Mentioned elsewhere on here I have thought about trying to find a fix for that, but I am scared. Usually using the EQ and futzing with settings can negate the volume issue.

You gotta try it! Start of with droning into it, setting delay time to max and on whichever random mode you prefer, some reverb behind it and you're golden. I like to set up drones that changes and shit while I clean, paint or whatever stuff, and just occaissonally change notes when I get tired of it. And cheapo synth and some clear tape does it. Or an oscillating fuzz, why not.
I only thought of the volume drop thing when it got mentioned. I guess I've mostly used it either on full wet or as a background thing, so it hasn't bugged me. Or now it annoys me a bit, but that is a minor concern.
It feels good to be part of why someone bought it though haha. My mission feels completed.
And highdeaf, your board is absolutely bonkers. Super cool stuff going on there

We have digitech folks on the board, have you considered reaching out to them?

Yea, it's a no-brainer I think. I took every pedal off, set the 8-step program aside, and then put the pedals back onto the board in the order of the signal chain.

What I ended up with was everything that's front ending the amp on the top row, and everything in the amp's effects loop on the bottom row...with the space at the end of the bottom row for that Romferd. Now if it would just hurry up and get here...come on mailman!!!!

Plenty of room!!

I spread things out a bit on that bottom row:

Now to wire and cable it all up...

That's more like it:
