They are absolutely nothing alike, at all. The original's are amazing amps, especially if you want an insanely loud clean amp for slamming with pedals. The reissue's are basically fender twins with a really gainy channel, not worth it.

See that main issue with the original is my problem I don't slam pedals into amps. The closest I did to that was when one of the old rigs I used was a power amp into 4 cabs and a distortion pedal infront of it. plenty of clean room for loudness. hell would probably still be using that setup if the power amp didn't die and all the cabs eventually died.
nowadays if the amp doesn't sound good on it's own I'm just not nearly interested.

For what you do thats totally understandable! I like having options, which is why I'm really digging the Matamp I got. I have one input for wicked amp dirt, and another input that turns it into a loud as piss clean machine. For you though an original Model T would be nearly useless unless you needed a badass clean track, or if you cranked the amp to hell, a decent mildly overdriven amp sound. I've never seen anyone use a Model T without pedals but from what I remember from sitting in front of two of them cranked to ten for quite a few shows, they break up but don't "distort" at extreme volume levels.

Yea I figured it's along the lines of the Sound City I have. it doesn't distort just break up at cranked volumes. it's nice to just jam on but not much else Oh I do slam a HM2 into so I can directly just do swedish death metal worship. Hell i have plenty of options i just like my options to be big and heavy boxes instead of smaller easy to transport ones.

Yup I'd say they are fairly similar then.
And if your back can take it and you got the space go for it!!!!

I'm a pedals guy. I want a Model T. But those prices...
Also we played a show with In The Company of Serpents one time and the guitarist uses a Reissue. I asked him about it and he said it works way better as a bass amp

I lift heavy weights just so I can lift heavy cabs and heads. haha.
okay actually I do it so I can beat someone's head in if they need it but still both practical uses.

tis, I've got someone coming look at the Model Train collection I inherited from my dad this weekend. If all goes well and he wants it I might have the funds to get it.
If it doesn't sell before he buys them....

hahahaha he's three states and a 4 hour drive away, don't think that immediate blowjob approach will work. Plus I wanna make sure I'll have the funds before contacting him.
