I was going to say it's better than the recent prices on model T's till I saw it was the reissue. then it's overpriced for that. by like 400 bucks.

I saw that earlier. I wasn't sure if it was even worth throwing an offer out on it. the vids I heard had a lot of lynyrd skynyrd esc riffs being played with extra mush on em.

I don't get the Model T love. The two best local hardcore-punk bands (Tenement and Ratsak) use them, and they sound great for that, but my 50 watt Laney kept up with it at a practice when I lent my amp one day. And the Laney sounded better - tighter, cut through the practice noisefest better. Didn't get a chance to putz with it and dial it in better, but they seem stupid overpriced these days.

I don't get the reissue love either... I had one, and ended up hating it. The distortion channel was only 1/2 to 2/3's the overall volume of the clean channel, and the clean channel was only as loud as most 50 watts i've played through and with less headroom. The tonestack is typical fender and the amp as a whole lacks low end. Crank it past 6 and it just gets more compressed and farty now any louder at all. So I don't know if my amp was fucked or not but I really did end up not liking it at all.

I like hearing more realistic accounts of gear like that than the fanboy gushing of them.
i was on the hype train for any model T and then as I've gone about and educated myself I realize it's just not what I want or have a real use for. But if I happen to come across one real cheap I probably would pick it up for that immediate response that people give of 'oh wow' and then I will tell them the Ampeg SS150 is better anyway.

Might snag this even though it's about 100 over what I'd like to pay

Also idk about the reissues but the original Model Ts sound godlike to me. That throaty roar it gets is what I live for so

Yea I saw that concert lead... that fucking shit job on the switch should automatically drop it to 300 range.
the originals sound nice but not what I was honestly wanting them to sound like. basically more gain and louder.

That is a total boner killer.
But, like SLK said, its much better to get the real picture.
