Hello everyone! My name is Chad and I'm a pedal building addict :hello:. I live in Michigan working as a state government employee. I like golf, horror, British comedy and PS3. I've been playing guitar for about 14 years and am not nearly as good as I should be. I play a '99 honeyburst Les Paul Classic. I just got into building a few months ago. I've been hanging around BYOC and FSB a bit. Learning how to do things. I am new to electronics and don't understand a lot of things yet, but I'm trying.

I came here because I've been trying to get my latest build to work properly(It's my first vero build). I've been getting help from a chap named scruffie who recommended I check this place out. I've completed 2 pedals now. If interested you can see them HERE and HERE.

Hopefully I can eventually contribute something useful to this forum. Until then I'll keep trying to learn things and pester scruffie some more  . Later...

Hello, I'm Aaron, and I love fuzz! (Sounds like the opening to a Fuzzaholics Anonymous meeting) I play stoner doom metal and shoegaze, and I've got a pedalboard slowly building up. I live in the middle of the woods, and there's only two guitar stores within 150 miles, so I have to order most of my stuff off of the internet, which introduced me to the wonderful world of boutique fuzzes, and in turn, all you wonderful people! I'm hoping to get into building my own pedals soon, and contribute whatever I can here! (Also, you guys have the best emotes ever. :omg: My anus is bleeding!)

I'm Ron Neely II, the owner/operator of RonSound http://www.ronsound.com. I've been building pedals for about 15 years. Oddly enough, I play bass and don't really use any pedals myself but I can play enough guitar to get by and to test my pedals.

On some other forums I go by the name theehman, TheEHMan or The EH Man.

I currently play in a country band, not by choice but because I can't find anything else to do.

I welcome any questions/comments about RonSound.

Hey Ron - I think we spoke years ago, about an odd EHX compression pedal I own that I couldn't find any details about. It's always good to have another builder here (not that I am a builder - you guys just talk about cool pedal-type stuff, and I like to pretend I can understand it)!

Hi! I'm Patrick, and I'm from BFE, South Carolina. I've been looking at getting into building pedals, and this, like everything else I've gotten into, seems like it'll turn into an obsession. Fun times!

hey
from montreal canada. 27

I love fuxx. at one point in time i owned about 30 fuzz pedals. I probably only have a dozen now.
I play a whole lot of everything, and I am always loving new instruments to play.
And I love playing them through fuzz
This month i've been enjoying an autoharp through a fuzz probe.
next month I'm adding contact microphones to a glockenspiel ... that will sound great through fuzz

ILF related gear I own: Synth Mangler, Bit Manger, Truly Beautiful Disaster, Spectacular Aenima, Spring Chicken, Dark600

I also love delay and reverb.
I have an addiction. Should i buy a 5th Boss DD-20?

Hello

Despite having owned some E13 pedals for about 6 years, I only just stumbled upon this board after Devi directed me to it. Great to hear about some new boxes that would have otherwise passed me by.

I'm in my mid 30s, I play guitar, and I play in several bands, some with moderately known people, some not. I am an FX player, so I mostly look for new FX and textures to layer. I compose in Pro Tools, but as a consequence I prefer strange analog gear, or tasteful digital ones when useful. I have about 40 FX boxes ranging from E13, Lovetone, Zvex, Moog, Metasonix, EH, and others.

I also work as sound designer for film and TV. But that's not as fun as music.

Specific pedals I own possibly of interest to this forum are:

Devi's Improbability Drive, Truly Beautiful Disaster (first issue), Shoegazer, and an early Synth Mangler with custom art that she has asked I share a pic of (I'll get on it). And a Peep back when she was sending them out for almost free as a test design. Yes, I know I'm lucky, as the ID is one of the best fuzz boxes I have still to this day.

Lovetones I have are the Ring Stinger, Doppleganger, and Tremulator. I'm always looking for the others if anyone is selling one.

From the 2 hours spent perusing the board so far, I gather people here don't care for Zvex, so I won't list those.

I have the TM6, TM5 and TM3? (can't remember the numbers) from Metasonix. The filter, preamp, and distortion box basically. They are quite crushing, I recommend people here check them out as well.

I also have the Mid Fi Pitch Pirate and Clarinot.

There are obviously other things as well, but Big Muffs are old news :)

Anyway, pleasure to meet you all. I look forward to reading more of your thoughts on pedals.

Hi, everyone.

I live in the Netherlands and am a freelance illustrator/recording engineer. I am 34 and live with a beautiful wife and two fuzzy cats in a reasonably large town where stuff doesn't happen very often. It's just working class heroes and carreer seekers, immigrants and church goers dressed in black. Still, I'm creative and I bet there's more people that feel the same way. Some ten years ago there was something of a live scene here with bands and arty stuff, but alas, no more. Rules and regulations...

Unfortunately, I don't own any of the sweet pedals of any of the brands represented here, but I do like bending and modding stuff. Destroying sound is one of my favorite pastimes.

Recently I put multiple feedback loops and a gate on my Russian Big Muff, resulting in 8-bit type square wave PWM Fuzz, pitch arpeggiating and velcro. Also I've modded my Ibanez Delay, i've doubled the delay time. Lately I've delved into electronics and DIY and am trying to learn more, I hope to come up with something that will sound highly pleasing to the clinicly insane.

My musical tastes are quite broad, from Nick Drake to Sonic Youth, 70's Swedish Prog-rock (Bo Hansson), Fairport Convention, Neil Young, Mike Oldfield. The older
the better, I guess. Newer bands I like: Band of Horses, Arcade Fire, Deerhoof. (to name but a few from the playlist) I like a lot of stuff as long as it's not shoved down my throat by the peddlers of the industry of cool. (I like Sergio Mendes, but couldn't care less for Black Eyed Peas)

Having stumbled upon this forum looking for more fuzz, I've become a member and I hope that we can share thoughts on the fuzzier things in life.
