I'm in a super bad mood, thinking about flipping most of my board

I'm pretty disappointed that I can't figure out how to make use of the awesome sun-bleached BF-2 I got recently
i'm starting to think the Huge Box II might not have enough attack for me
feel like I should get something instead of my Elements (YEAH, EVEN THAT ONE) because i'm literally using it for one pretty bland sound anyway
CT5 is weird
Modtone octaver is dumb
DOD DFX9 is boring
the trem is useless

my playing is stupid and i'm not making it sound any better with them pedals

Dude I was in the same place a couple of months back. I ended up taking up keyboard and that's what got me back into making music lately. So I would suggest trying something completely new for a bit and come back to what you have now before you totally revamp.

And definitely don't flip that Elements. Even if you're using it for a bland sound now, you know it'll be able to hang when you need something extreme later.

+2, rock just a tuner or one dirt pedal or something. Do that for a while (week or two) then evaluate what you want and what you dont. This has helped me a lot in the past.

Yeah in the past I've sold stuff because I wasn't feeling it and regretted it only a few weeks later, it's definitely worth taking the time leaving them on the shelf and thinking about it.

I'm also currently recovering from a massive gear purge. It can be good, but be prepared to miss everything and scramble to buy it back/get new stuff to fill the void.

dude, don't play with me. I'm THIS close to taking that offer

it's just a ...dud day I guess. I also picked up the bass and wrote a super Cure-y chord-y song... maybe that BF-2 could come in handy after all

i'm keeping the board in our rehearsal space specifically not to mess with it, especially with exams coming and stuff... we've got shows coming up, so i don't want to tear it up anyway just needed to vent i guess

IF nothing else, use your board for everything it shouldn't be used as, giving you a new board without flipping anything

elements: buffer/line driver with mix 100% clean.
bF-2: comb filter with rate at zero
Ct-5: straight up delay, mode 1, speed at 1:1, regen to taste, sample size at around 600ms
Trem at the end of your chain as a boost with depth at zero and gain at above unity
fX-9 on the shortest range as a doubler
That octaver... Do the filters work even when the sub is off? If so get a kick disc and use one of the filters, whichever is cooler, as a resonant filter. Wub wub wub.
