Ow!

Also, I accidentally made a weird/cool tape loop while I was noodling, so I hurriedly flicked the recorder on to catch some of that. Maybe get some more sounds today.

It's ambient; you can fart into a reverb pedal and it'll be fine.

DM'd! If I have gotten the drive access set up right, I'll pass the link along to everyone else.
And if it's less hassle, anyone can just send me a wetransfer link and I'll move things over to the google drive.

Check your dm's, y'all — everyone should now have the link to the google drive folder.

got it. i realized i can use the Focusrite interface i've had sitting in a box for 3 years with or without mics to record to GarageBand through the USB-to-Lightning adapter i got with my iPhone and potentially actually get stuff that sounds good, though i might do some stuff just with the phone mic for textural reasons. i've got ideas, and it's pretty exciting...i haven't really done much musically in recent years and like thinking about it again.

I also haven't made or recorded any music in years and I will admit that my sources are going to be trash because I might have missed the whole idea behind what people are doing. Apologies in advance because I have been out using a field recorder recording bugs n shit and I realized that most of it wont be good for an ambient setting. I kinda went into this thinking that I would take source samples and put em into my octatrack and make the whole thing on that then record whatever I come up with into a tascam 8 track and upload it

Now I think I'm going take the time to track everything individually into my computer.

Big fan of field recordings/bug noises.

Whoa! I missed this - is there still time for my son and I to take part? I finally have some holiday / vacation time so we would love to be a part of this again!

I have no objections to late joiners, seeing as we're still a couple weeks out from the source sounds being due. I would say yes, come and be a part.

Awesome! Thanks

We're in - we did some lo fi field recordings of insects and birdsong in a meadow near us, so if anyone wants to some nature sounds I'll try to make some excerpts of that as well.
