This is my first exposure to that thing. Don't mind it at all, however, it's seems like if Jeep started making motorcycles. I'm sure they could do a great job, but it's just outside of how ya know the company, dig?

exactly! i mean, if Ibanez can make good hollowbodies and have the boner-inducing artists series, why can't ESP make offset hollowbodies?

Yeah, they already have quite a lot routed out, it just looks so awesome.

I have two ESP Hybrids, and those are good as hell. No reason they couldn't make a good offset semi-hollow. Agreed on that headstock badging though... Fugzzzzzzzzzz.

Saul Koll makes some fucking killer offset (just barely) semi-hollows. He's been sucked into the Premier Builder Guild though, shit ain't inexpensive, also not as crazy as some of these Gibson and Fender prices of late. I've played a couple and they're incredible plus custom options galore!

thats like literlly one of my favorite guitars ever
Same here, gorgeous!

Adoom wrote:I like it. Reminds me of that Yamaha Wes Borland model I was into until I heard it cost thousands.
I played that once, it was pretty shitty for the $$$. Plus it looks a
bit ridiculous. And then there's the "Borland Factor".

Also owned the Yamaha TVL, total shit too, just terrible build quality and the worst balance and feel of any guitar I've ever touched. Returned for a couple others, all equally bad. No faith in the Yamaha semi-hollows.

They are a bit mental.
Borland... shit. I thought that guy could do something astounding for years with Lohner. Or even without Fred Durst.
But then he... didn't. Well. Black Light Burns... not to my taste.
I'm looking to break into the semihollow realm now for guitar. Those ESP's could have really been up my alley. Grumble.

Borland has always seemed to me like the most amazing nu-metal guitarist ever. Well... right next to Steph Carpenter

and that's barely a compliment, but i admit, i kinda like him
too bad his signature model sucks... what wrong with yamahas? first the TVL, than this... MY yamaha is amazing though

anyways.... THAT SILVERBURST GLITTER KOLL

They're nice guitars, I toyed with buying one for a while. The one I played had a really great neck and the pickups weren't half bad. It did however weigh an absolute tonne, so much so that it felt heavier than most solid body guitars I've played, let alone semi-hollow.

I have a Maton semi-hollow that weighs a ton too, easily as much as my LP Custom. Surprising when you first pick it up but that girth makes it sound monstrous. I deal.

Fucking Deftones are a badass band.
If you disagree, we disagree. But that's ok!
Borland definitely has a melodic bent that is his own though.
Gretsch? Anybody know much about them?
