I also got him to throw in a mastotron, which I haven't had the chance to listen to any clips of but I'm hoping it sounds good
I have a GEC9 and it does what it's supposed to do very well. It's a bit big but the spacing between the switches is perfect in my opinion. The buffer is clean, the switching is silent, there are a lot of signal routing options. Its easy to build patches on the fly and has enough loops for a fairly giant board. If I had to come up with a "con" the only thing that bothered me a little was that the soft touch footswitches can be a little too easy to double tap by mistake. But other than my clumsy feet I really liked it.
On my main board I now have a dumb-simple one button switch that toggles between a clean loop and a dirty loop after a couple direct access pedals rather than using presets but I still have the GEC9 and am using it as the hub for a bigger home recording board that will hopefully give me easy access other pedals without having to stop to patch things in.

I can't wait for this to come out. One of my top 5 albums of all time and I'm pretty pumped to be able to give it a vinyl release. Jean from Shroud Eater is handling all of the artwork. Her sketches look awesome so far.

On another note, I'm trading one of my Orange 4x12s for a 2x12 + cash. Decided not to go the 6x12 route, at least for now, and a 4x12 + 2x12 is much easier to move/frees up space in the van.
Also decided to TREAT YO (my) SELF and got this incoming...

That Explorer

Also, in case you're wondering, the art is all VERY tongue-in-cheek.
Hahaha that's awesome! I love the tubes on the wizard's staff.
I got my new Deadhand shirt today and it's snazzy as fuck. The best part is that there was a Black Forest in the box with it. I'm glad to have one back in the stable - sounds beastly going into my Ritual and Pharaoh. Makes me want a DLS to hit with it too. The only problem is that it definitely overlaps with the Arrows in terms of stacking with dirt. Still love the Arrows into the cleans, but the BF is better running into my dirt.

Been stoked for the awesome/hilarity since you posted the initial description.
I am not disappoint. Glorious!

This may be the answer you seek to your female fronted funeral doom challenge.
I know it's not exactly funeral doom more like funeral drone doom
But check out Monarch!
Specifically the album Sabracadaver. The song Pentagrammes is fucking heavy as balls. Gotta love her screaming vocals too.

I haven't had a chance to hook it up yet, still deciding what I actually want to accomplish with it.

Let's have a grand conversation about this amazing overdrive.
I use it religiously, but I haven't read any reviews at all, I guess Reaper Pedals is still a bit of a small company.

TWSS?
Dilemma: sell my OR-80 Overdrive to buy a '78 OR-120 with newer (Partridge, I think) transformers?

That's the deluxe.
The non-deluxe has more room. Which is the one I have.
