Best get another. :)*

:animal: there ARE pretty good deals on them coming out of Japan....

I know and I have a coupon to get it even cheaper  . I am just worried about shipping it, haha.

Oh man, its worth it for the delay alone. Just riding it on the edge of oscillation is such a fucking great thing. Highly recommended :!!!:

WHY CAN'T THERE BE WORLDWIDE VOLTAGE?!

i swear if you guys switched to metric system i'd happily switch to 110v instead of 240v.

Got this DeArmond 1800 wah/volume pedal from Joe Gagan yesterday and unpacked it today. Coming from Joe, naturally it's in great condition. Circuit is very similar to a Boomerang, although Joe says the biasing is better in these. Inductor has been rebuilt, three of the caps have been replaced, and it's got a new battery snap. Joe did a great job - it sounds beautiful. No crackle, no hiss - nothing but wah, smooth and wide.

I got interested in these because Chankgeez told me these wah enclosures are the best he's ever played and I have to say, in terms of flat-out comfort and smooth response, I think Chank's right. There's something really special about the feel. Maybe it's because they're so big. How big? Here it is between a Colorsound wah and a Jen Cry Baby:

It's also got a really long throw and a very smooth action on the treadle. You can get your whole foot on there with room to spare; it's really stable, really good control.
Sounds like this clean (Harvester guitar -> DeArmond 1800 -> VibroChamp):

You simply have the classiest gear!

There is something about you Aussies that way. I always loved tommaster's posts of his gear too.

That wah is nice!

I've decided To not buy anything else that isn't Bitquest or You're Doom. Even if I sell a bunch of gear first.

Yeeeah, DeArmond!!!

Love those things. There's nothing like the feeling of a giant pedal under your foot. :D

Can't wait until Joe Gagan's done with the Thunderbolt project he's working on. :snax:

Apparently it also has a hole in the bottom plate for easy access to the modulation trim pot. :joy:

This is from that large build pictured on the MWFX facebook page, so I'll bet BigCityMusic will be have stock soon.

I'm also working on a souped-up Improbability Drive clone and I've flipped my Blues Jr with a Yamaha G100 1x12 in the mail. I blame the lush solid state thread. :joy: :joy: :joy:
