You guys are not helping.

In that you are helping, but I really shouldn't spend money, but ah fuck it, IF IT IS COOL, THEN WHY THE FUCK NOT?!

Twisting my arm here.

Don't have active pickups. I really don't like them.
And I have one pedal with a buffer now, that I never really use, as its an old boss weirdo chorus from the 80s, and it usually goes last in the chain.

I might PM sergio when I'm done and dusted with this assignment tomorrow. Try and come to some sort of poor man's arrangement.
In that I am the poor man in this arrangement.

If anyone wants to make my mind up for me and swoop it for themselves, go nuts. It will help me to behave in a fiscal manner appropriate of my station.
Fucking GAS.
Fucking rad pedals every time I click on "view new posts".

Anyone have any ideas for shipping a 2x12 cabinet when you can't find a box that's the right size?

Any ideas where particular shops might have something that size? I might try a furniture shop or something.

You could ring Matamp (it's a Matamp cab, right?) and see what they suggest.

Find bigger boxes and cut them down. I did that with my 2x12 when I sold it. I actually did this with about 10 layers of boxes and it worked great. Arrived with only the scratches that were on it before I boxed it up. Took 4 rolls of box tape though.

If you cant find the right size box, then heaps of bubble wrap and then wrap in cardboard and a lot of tape...

That's another option. We recycle a lot and have a great deal of cardboard lying around. I could make a box and seal it together with enormous amounts of tape.

I have done this numerous times for bigger items. With a proper amount of bubble wrap itll be just fine.

Sweet! Thanks, lads. Might finally be able to shift the Matamp. If I lived in Dublin I would have sold it a thousand times over.

I preordered a copy of the gold and black, just because I want to have it. I would love to hear it ahead of time though. I need to find a way to hook up my record player to my studio monitors. I need a new turntable setup, mine sucks and only has little built in speakers, but you know...$$$$$$.

Do you own or get a share of the mechanical royalties?

Nah, it was just a pay by the hour fee for recording and mixing. I don't believe in taking royalties for recording and I know how hard it is just to break even with being a band at this level and self releasing vinyl.

Did you put an add on fretboard? I think there was a guy looking for a matamp 2x12

I'm the same way when it comes to recording mixing. I will even work for weed and beer. I learned all about the different royalty categories and music copyright law when I did a music Diploma course. I don't think its right to take money after you have already been paid for the sessions. And producer contracts are even more of a scam I think. I don't give a fuck if you're George Fucking Martin. I wouldn't sign one.
