I just resent them making all that money for having no musicianship, when some bands with real talent and knowledge go without any recognition. And they're not the only ones getting away with fooling all the lemmings.

See, I don't know that I hate Kiss, I'm just totally indifferent. I don't listen to them, no one I know listens to them (at least, not that I know of), they might as well not exist in my section of the universe.

Your not the only one who holds that sentiment. And I definitely don't disagree with you.

I know a couple people who absolutely adore them and their music.... It just boggles my mind, and I wish I could find a place where like you where they don't exist in my section of life hahaha

Absofuckinlutely.
Also, I think you might be Randall's biggest endorser since Dimebag passed.
In other news, I made some noises that didn't sound like Hawkwind with my oscilo-boxes. New and unexpected territory, but I think I got a track or two out of it so far.

Black Sabbath vs GoT? Black Sabbath will still be legendary in 40 years, GoT will not. /debate (its not required you like BS, as long as you understand what they've done for the face of music)
Ozzy vs Dio? That's like blonde vs redhead, they're equally nice in different ways and should be appreciated as such not compared against each other.
Zep? Great musicians, even better thieves (well mainly Jimmy Page). Their emotional content and dynamics puts them pretty high up there for me.
Rush? Never got it, never will. Amazing musicians, but almost TOO amazing. I'm all for complex music but over doing it removes all emotional content for me.
Here's my question: How do you guys feel about KISS?
Personally one of my most disliked bands ever. The music, the look, the vibe.... everything is just horrid.

I agree with every single thing you have written here sir. I never listen to them, but I really enjoy the Trailer Park Boys episode with the Rush concert...

As someone who has done it in that style -- the thing about Working Man, though (and Rush in general) is that the second riff is fucking awful, no matter the bpm. Which always seems to be the case with Rush: the cool bits get cancelled out by the shitty ones.

The Sword did a killer cover of Working Man when I saw them once.

Black Sabbath vs GoT? Sabbath
Ozzy vs. Dio? Dio was a great singer, but Ozz had that kinda dorky earnestness that brought you in to the music.
Zep: A lot of it sounded great, especially the guitars. I love Robert Plant now, and I know some people who know him, who say he's a great guy. But in Zep he sounds like English cannot possibly be his first language, and that ends up being a problem.
Rush: Kind of a guilty pleasure, but a lot of it sounds good to me. But I grew up in the 80s. Never owned a Rush album, though, and never will.
Kiss The worst band! They sound like they don't quite understand what music is, so they're going through the motions. They also seem unusually dickish, even by the standard of bad rock bands. It's funny that the Runaways sounded exactly like early Kiss, except that they could play better and even rock from time to time and at the time Kiss was taken seriously while wearing Kiss outfits, while the Runaways were considered to be no-talent whores.
