True story.

And as far as Ozzy, those first two solo records rule the school.

wow...i missed out on a bit of storm in here...

Ozzy and Dio were both fuckin legendary, in and out of Sabbath...Ozzy with Randy Rhodes, pure magic, Ozzy with Wylde, on for a few songs like Miracle man.

Sabbath vs Game of Thrones...Sabbath...I watched the first 2 series of GoT, and to be honest it was just too much to take in and I don't have the patience to follow all the story lines. I have enough story lines in my own life to fit these in too.

Rush and Zepplin...understand the big deal about both...can get into Zepplin, can't get into Rush.

Glad we are back on track now...so Friday all my shit got shipped off...i sit here with a suitcase of clothes a few small bits and pieces (like computer) and an acoustic guitar...add to that 2 more operations and strict diet...and my last month of UK life is proving to be one of the shittest months of my life!

on the bright side, my 2 year old has turned a corner and is not acting up and being a little shit anymore...he just does funny shit all the time and tries to help out in his own way.

edit: also a question...when people refer to the Megalith pedal...are they referring to the Mountain king pedal, or the MI Audio pedal, or something else???

They would pretty much only succeed in lowering the number of Gibson brand guitars produced each year. Which I couldn't give less of a fuck about.

Personally, I feel the market right now is saturated with boutique, hand-made instruments, pedals, etc and many consumers are more drawn to things that aren't major brands anyway. Seems like a waste of $22m. Gibson could resolve most of this groups issues with their business themselves, but don't bother because they'll turn a decent profit either way.

Yeah, just forget Gibson as a whole. We don't need them for anything more than mass-produced heritage at affordable and consistent rates—which they haven't provided in years. If you want a glorious Les Paul that's "hand made", pick up a Feline, Gil Yaron, Nik Huber, PRS, vintage Gibson, Fano, EGC, ESP USA Custom Shop, etc.

Love Oingo Boingo, along with tons of other 80s new wave-tinged stuff.

Wow I missed quite a bit over the weekend.....

Black Sabbath vs GoT? Black Sabbath will still be legendary in 40 years, GoT will not. /debate (its not required you like BS, as long as you understand what they've done for the face of music)

Ozzy vs Dio? That's like blonde vs redhead, they're equally nice in different ways and should be appreciated as such not compared against each other.

Zep? Great musicians, even better thieves (well mainly Jimmy Page). Their emotional content and dynamics puts them pretty high up there for me.

Rush? Never got it, never will. Amazing musicians, but almost TOO amazing. I'm all for complex music but over doing it removes all emotional content for me.

Here's my question: How do you guys feel about KISS?

Personally one of my most disliked bands ever. The music, the look, the vibe.... everything is just horrid. :barf:

I could go the rest of my life without hearing Kiss.

I saw them live in 2004. It was weird.

KISS are grown adults playing music like 14 year old kids in a garage singing songs about their cocks. As admitted by them, it's not about the music. It's about making a heap of money and having their dicks polished. And it sounds like it to me. So yeah I agree with you.
