Next step is maybe getting a smaller polytune for more space and upgrading my cables to something less makeshift. I'm pretty happy with this though.

I'm not really using fuzz so much anymore. I find the echo dream to be the perfect pedal for like a dirty mild delay or a huge fuzz by changing the mix. The Orion is great too just got it today just really nice sounding

This is perfect. Can the Orion do extreme stuff?

Thanks! Umm the volume on the Orion gets pretty overdriven so you can get pretty crunchy reverb. The mix goes full wet I'm pretty sure. The dwell doesn't oscillate at its highet setting but it goes fairly long. So it kinda goes wild but not really enough that I'd recommend it for that sort of thing, it can go Fender Tank deep but no more. It's also quite hard to make it do that crashy reverb spring by kicking it which I did not expect. It won't do it from stomping the switch.

I want an Orion real bad. Is it $400 good?

I would absolutely run my Mini after it though.

I was going to run a Super Hard On after it but the actual volume boost is like crunch overdrive and meant I saw no need for it. It would be nice to be able to go a bit bassier on the tone knob though it's kind of bright with single coils (gold foils which are bright with everything)

Its really well made, came with lots of nice accessory things but I dunno if it's worth the money. I guess you could get a lot more features in a reverb for that price if that's what you wanted. I really like spring reverb, it's all I use and for me this sounded better than the Danelectro Spring King, the Van Amps stuff and the Carl Martin Headroom I tried at a guitar store and a tank is just too much to carry around so this is perfect.

EDIT: Just saw my dogs tail snuck in to top right of pic. The best

Second full board. Most Mountainking. :)

Jwar. Don't know what's best, your boards or the meme based replies they generate! :D
Either way, nice! You've probably been through it before, but is there a concept behind each board (other than just "awesome sounds")"? Do you use them one at a time mostly or both together all the time? Also, is there a specific combo or pairing that you tend to get back to? Do you gig with these btw or are they home or rehearsal "only" boards?

So I don't play out unfortunately. I simply don't have time at the moment. If I did however, I'd slim down to the very bare essentials.

No real concept other than what I've found that I really like that works well with active basses. I like a gritty tone, so that's basically what I shoot for. That's why I have so much dirt. Dirt pedals are my favorite by far. Second would be flange, phaser and delay as a tie. :)

The second board isn't even wired up yet (need another powersupply and more patch cables). My idea is to put one in one part of the house and the other in the other part of the house. One for one bass, the other for another bass. The first board is my more practical board IMO. As far as tone and overall function goes. Then the second is the fun board.

Always refreshing to see a DS-1. Actually great as low gain drives into other stuff, and good for pushing an amp harder. Hows the grey stache?
