Dear Brann,

I do enjoy your singing voice but please, please stop. Give the mic to Bill and just focus on giving us more of that crazy Remission styled crazy drumming that you are so good at. Your playing on Crack the Skye up until now has been pretty meh at best.

Your friend,

Conky

P.S.

I really dug your kick drum sound on In the Eyes of God

yes yes^^ though his drumming on leviathan was at his most laid back/ simple. far more than crack the skye. he actually played with thought, leviathan was just as he said. 'wanting to sit back and just simply play a song and enjoy the feel of it' or some shit like that basically saying he didn't want to put any effort in it.

and everything on In the Eyes of God was great.

That is one of my all time favorite albums. Intense all the way through.

I had no idea there was any connection. The drumming on that is insane.

Same here, one of my all time favorite albums. It falls into a category that comes up a lot with me and music. I liked the album so much, I never bothered listening to or buying any albums after that. From that band, not just any albums ever.

Animal Mother was fucking awesome. One of 2014's best, for sure.

Overall, though, I think Temple of the Morning Star is my favorite TITD

well duh, but he also wrote Sadness will prevail and that should've been a single cd album not a double disc.

Temple is great. I thought Kiss the Pig was a worthy follow up.

Oh that Axis of Eden... austin really missed the ball on that and knowing that Roddy quit drumming for Hate Eternal to be in today is the day and record this album... knowing that and then you listen to it and you are like... why? fucking why ever? no one can tell that's Roddy, everything sounds terrible. it doesn't even sound like songs.

Its very much "new" Mastodon, but it doesn't suck.

I think it was very, very much suck. The intro sounds like the acoustic "dark" version of half breed by Cher.

I like Mastodon and Game of Thrones, and still thought that was full of suck.

I like older Mastodon and I am learning to like Game of Thrones. It was awful.
