picked up a 1980 mxr distortion + yesterday for really cheap. Set it up as a light dirt/boost in a true bypass loop, and now the fuck is after the dmm - with both on and the crackle engaged, sonic bliss. I've got a stereo setup right next to the amp, so I can run the dry-out of the dmm into the tape deck for some husker du stereo tones. Didn't expect to be so into the +.

This shit is :!!!:
Super fucking cool. Dist +/DOD 250 and their variants always surprise me at just how much they kick arse by simply going about their business.

haha, yeah, getting that true bypass box on there was a bit of a pain, but it's secure...enough.

I love this board ! It's simple but I bet it sounds very good. Every time I see a RAT on a board, I want to buy another one (I had a modded RAT2 this summer, but it had 3 switches, too much options, and sounded kinda flat, even with the gain and volume at 3 o'clock), and I understand your hate of modulation pedals. I played without modulation for "a long time" and now i have a flanger, a phaser and a chorus for when I'm in the mood. But I always find it sounds too "80's". Maybe do I have to stop listening to Radiohead, Muse or Pink Floyd, and reading Gilmourish.com.

I almost bought a Boss RE-20, but instead kept my DD-7 and bought a RV-5. Do you find it worth the price ?

yeah when it comes to rats, i feel simpler is better. fuck all those mods.

i think the re20 is really worth it if you really love and want that space echo sound. its a specific sound. i also use mine for production when im mixing and stuff. its powerful. its just an amazing sounding delay pedal that has lots of usability.

Dude you just sold me on the RE20.
I've been on the fence about it for a while but I think it'll be a priority after I get my speaker situation sorted.

Bigger board and bigger fun.
The Loopi Effects Loop Shifter Switcher allows me to have the Mobious pre and post dirt, and in the Superego loop.
