Demo of Witchburner inbound. Mid poop I got called in to my second job to transport a patient to the cath lab and didn't get back until late.

I try to go to shows that come to town to make sure that stuff keeps coming to town. Word of mouth shit.

False, it will be kind of amazing. I like your attitude about your town though - if more people had that mentality (about anything) the world would be a much better place.

Makes me wanna put out a country album.

Do not give a fuck what anyone thinks.

For the record, this whole "#DarkAmericana" thing is just hipster talk for country that is ok to listen to.

I need to check that out. I always hated country music until I was exposed to the real/good stuff. I like to jam some hateful, whiskey soaked, depressing country from time to time. Can't say that I'm a fan of the hipsters appropriating this sort of music, but whatever, maybe it means they will leave stoner/doom alone.

I really dig Dead Soldiers, which have some hcfx and/or doom room connection - a common member from Galixicon, if memory serves correctly. Anyhow, they are rad and you should listen to them.

Congrats to SLK!

That djent vid was piss funny.

Re: Country/folk/etc.
I apologise, I should have been more specific. I suppose its cultural ignorance, but I forget that those stylings of music have a varied and rich cultural heritage in your country that has taken a very long time to develop and has been influenced by many varying factors, both cultural and geographic.
Down here, country is a fairly broad umbrella, but lacks a lot of depth. For instance, we have no real history of folk with dark elements to it. Our "folk" is mostly terrible bush ballards from time of federation, so they've been edited and culled selectively to suit the colony's emerging identity. Which leaves us in a pretty dire state.
Most Australian country now does its best to sound like American Country Radio, and while I haven't suffered the saturation that you guys have with that (particularly you Nashville based duders) I can assure that small doses are enough to administer pain.
So yeah, I'm pretty uneducated as to a lot of that music, but I like what I've heard so far.
I also like that you can dig through some of the biggest names in "country" from eras like the 70s and find some of those sorts of sounds somewhere in their catalog.

Grats on being cool as fuck, SLK. That was a rad interview. I don't know where you find the time or inspiration for it all. It's actually pretty fucking inspiring.

Thank you very much!

I just feel I should make the most of my time at all times. I actually feel that I wasted the day if I don't accomplish something. Even if it's just sketching out some canvases to be painted or getting the layout ready for a release. I try to do something at least. Though in this last week my right wrist has been killing me. Mainly when I'm not doing something. If I'm playing it feels fine, if I'm lifting weights or working it's fine. it's when it's at rest it feels like it needs to be stretched and all my fingers popped.

Just picked up a commission to build a 5 foot tall bookcase that's shaped like a coffin

Guys, I need some advice. I realized that I have like $6000 in my 401k, and I really want some more amps. Should I withdraw that shit and get some more, or should I be responsible and save for the future?

IMO, once money goes into a retirement fund, that money is not usable for toys. You're lucky to have a 401k, don't mess up a good thing. Amps are fun, but not being poor as shit when you don't have the means to work is more fun. Just save up and next time you're going to make a deposit, treat yo self... :idk:
