Right on dude. Houston treating you better than the frozen tundra of Nova Scotia?
Man, from what everyone has been telling me, Siberia and Alaska would be better. Apparently this was the coldest February on record in Michigan.

It's been fucking bitter cold, man. My beard/mustache freezing regularly with each breath taken. Woof.
Snow blowing has been shitty because it's windy as F every single day. So sick of it.
Today I was saying, "It's fucking beautiful man, probably gonna grill out! Can you believe it... it's 26 today?"

I just took the Zvex off the board though for a good old fashioned NYC Big Muff, though. I needed something simpler. I was at one point using a Silicon Fuzz Face but it just didn't have the oomph I was looking for. The Muff is working for now but who knows how long it'll last. I'm too damn picky.
Unfortunate that you had to let that stuff go, but the tone on that video is hella good dude

Thanks Trey. Hope we get back to your neck of the woods soon.
Yeah dude, me too. When you guys make it back, I'll be here, and hopefully get to treat you dudes to some hipster burritos from Flaming Amy's

Fuck all that noise. I don't always dig the people or the humid summers down here, but I wouldn't trade either for winter up north.

But I'm playing down there in April so at least you have that to look forward to.

Yeah -- winter in the Midwest, especially anything that gets hit with that lake effect snow can be brutal.
I was so pissed leaving Chicago on Sunday morning because as soon as I started driving it just started snowing and visibility started to dip. Half of my drive was just fucking garbage.
For whatever reason it cleared up as soon as I hit Michigan so I can get behind that.

Man, Bassman RI combo back on my want list. A V2 is my dream amp but they're so hard to come by and spendy. That Bassman sounds fantastic...bet it's great live. Love what you're doing.

Everyone bailed on me but I might still drive up the two hours to catch Old Man Gloom and Coliseum, even if I go solo, tomorrow night in SF.

there's a dude on here that plays in the live band for this project. spoiler: they're not from china. i listened to a song or two. i think it's not bad. less garbage than deafhaven at this point. we'll see how it plays out in real life beyond the albums, but the music is alright, at least on the couple of songs i heard. i'll probably hate them in a year when they turn out to be false fucking hipsters grabbing for fame or whatever people get when they win at that bullshit, but we'll see.

for the record, i don't mind at all when motherfuckers who are the real deal get fame or whatever it is that comes to them. but usually true motherfuckers get shafted and some fake fucking dickhead gets all kinds of glory for nothing they deserve. cause this world is shit. but that's why true motherfuckers are true.
