GASing for new OD. have a ROOK and Monarch.

What else is there. I've tried a bunch. Neither of these quite do it for me. Rook is far too compressed, Monarch is really nice...It just doesnt feel right/maybe just want to A/B it with others.

Shoot!

I suspect the answers you are gonna get are SS/BS Mini and Fairfield Barber Shop. That said, I really like the Barber LTD SR. The other versions are probably good as well, but I dunno. I think there is another barber OD that has a switch between the different versions, who differ in EQ flatness basically

Still need to try one of those. Friend used to have one...wonder where it went off to.

Europe was insane. The accomodations were nothing short of awesome. The shows--attendance wise, reception wise, ruled (there's nothing quite like walking into roadburn/desertfest and having a stage manager show you a room full of 70+ amps you can choose from). All around a great experience...Only one gear failure (input jack..i think, opening my V up today to find out). Nothing some GAFF couldnt handle.

They are low gain though, I like to crank mine. It is pretty nice with a dirt that has it's sweet spot with the gain knob dimed

The Gain Changer has a switch that goes between the LTD and the UnLimiTeD (higher gain version of LTD).
The other toggle switch lets you alternate between the flat EQ of the LTD SR to the EQ of the LTD version 2.

I have the Dual UnLimiTeD (two channels with common EQ). I don't have a channel-switching amp, so I
use it for that. I set one channel with higher gain, one with lower, and switch between the two as needed.
I like goosing fuzz with it. And running fuzz into it. I basically stopped looking for or caring about OD pedals
after this. It's all I need. And that leaves more time to obsess over fuzz and delay.

What you are saying is that I really need a gain charger then. Oh well

The Gain Changer has a lot of options for such a small pedal.
It's smaller than a Boss pedal I think. Some don't like the dual-channel
Barbers (UnLTD or Half Gainer) due to the size of the enclosure.
I, however, don't mind.
