totally get that. does that mean the movement on all the settings will cease to exist? such as when you're above/below 1:1 forward it right now ramps up/down (until it hits minimum/maximum then resets ofc) - will it still ramp?
multi_s wrote:also for overdubs it wont be exactly "on the dir1" head. it will just start where the head was when you hit the button. so if the dir 1 is reverse at some speed, the write head still moves forward at 1:1 speed. that is all that would be changed in the next firm release regarding this request. i am starting the update now, there are about 6 things on teh list to cahnge, some pretty small but i will post some clips in the next week or two with the updates.

about the overdub, that's exactly what i meant/wanted. awesome
I dunno, there's not supposed to be that ramping at 1:1. Outside of 1:1 everythignis always 'ramping' if that's what you want to call it. I think the reason it seems it's not changing pitch, but still changing delay time, is that the change is so small, it sounds in tune. This maybe created an illusion that delay time and pitch are somehow uncorrelated, but it's not true.
Yeah I've had some of the best results using a delay post CT5. A longer delay time on the CT5+ a shorter delay time on my dd-20 is pretty fucking awesome.
awesome signature with witty quotes from all you fuckers

yussss.
also i've implemented some of the update. the mode 3 thing is better in practice the way you suggested i think. i mean all you know is where it will start. after that its still sort of a shit show but at least you can punch in a quick blip or bleep where you want.
God damn I love this pedal, the honeymoon is over and I'm still stoked I have never wanted presets on a pedal so bad but as I'm getting better at the interface I'm getting quick at recalling settings

it got rather loud, but i knew that would happen
just for reference - even before fiddling with the gain, the unity was not at noon, not even in the first mode
Ya im changing some things in firmware so maybe you won't have to increase gain once it is released. it should be out in about 2 weeks. You should be able to decrease the gain after that.
My unity test is not in mode 1, but it should be unity roughly with no feedback. I think its already been posted what/when perceived unity should be. But you can just go to mode 3, 1 playback head, 1:1 speed, mix at noon. Clean/wet should be pretty even the way it shipped. On 'xyz rev i' pcbs this should be close to noon on the gain trim pot.
Got it. Much awesomeness within. Mode three is really sweet especially.
Question for you Scott, on this upcoming update would you be able to offer more pitch scaling options, like natural major and minor? Setting up sweet harmony loop with mode three is awesome but not as easy to do on the fly with the chromatic scale.
