God dammit that Matamp is sexy. Sounds great too. Had me eyeing a GT40 and discussing exchange rates with my wife. All I got was an eye rollsamzadgan wrote:no man...look at that...sloppy wiring!ShaolinLambKiller wrote:But is it Lone Wolf quality?![]()

so last night this arrived at my house...some of you have probably already seen it. But this thing sounds so badass its not funny. I got a good 2 hours with it today, and played it by itself and did the stereo set up with my marshall. They are very different beasts...the Matamp is brighter, but lacks no bottom end, the best way i can put it is that is just has all the frequencies...when you turn the bass up, it doesn't lose the highs etc. I'm probably not explaining it well, but when i play with the eq on the marshall, there comes a point where you start losing highs with the bass being turned up.
anyway...here are pics...

also...did a quick soundcloud track...with marshall and matamp...i toggle back and forth and then go stereo. The matamp is set to a bit of breakup and the marshall is clean...when you hear each amp by itself you can hear a bit of jangle in the matamp, and the darkness in the marshall...but together...oh my!!
Hey, it beats the stuff on our bandcamp page!ryan summit wrote:yikes
puttin it out there huh
It was recorded using the most butt-ass equipment possible. Like $20 mics, $40 interface, etc. Summit's basement is a little too dank for my good gear cuz yes microphones are expensive and there's no way I'm leaving my KSM 137s etc. down there. I think the nicest one in there is an AKG d112 or possibly the Cascade LDC. If it works, twerk it, right?AxAxSxS wrote:Kinda sounds like you guys are where I am with recording and mics and stuff. I'm just beginning to educate4 myself and holy shit are mics expensive.
Semper ubi, sub ubi! THat's my motto and I'm sticking to it. Mic comments were in no way reflective of the music, which I thoroughly enjoyed, just feeling ya guys on how it ends up translated through gear.John wrote: If it works, twerk it, right?

already told the wife...if we get a 2 bed place that has a seperate dinning room...dinning room becomes my gear room...end of! (luckily she agreed)
