Strat with buckers is some secret weapon shit for sure.
Travis, I don't have an Arrows to speak on it definitively, but from what others have posted about it and the sound clips it does seem very similar as far as what it does well.
Sleep last night was badass, 1 hour and 45 minutes, precisely, played pretty much everything I wanted to hear. Killer Show and really stoked that Black Pussy got to open up for them. I dig portland, that's a fun town to hang out and get drunk after a show in, and they have some of the best breakfast hangover cure eatery's in the country.

here is one of the promised videos I said I'd do. I'll do another one of these probably after I build the new housing for it.

Thanks for the demo, SLK. I'm really digging my Beta. Definitely a sweet amp. Wouldn't mind picking up a Concert Lead or a slave of some sort.

Yea I'm pleased with it, it's pretty much what I expected a tad more fuzzy.. basically I'd have to say I like the concert lead more, plus it's louder. so that's always a plus.

Was gonna be my 2c as well. Which is why the rotary suggestion was semi serious. That and I like the idea of a Mazda rotary in a Dato. Sex.
Not enough cylinders

nyuk nyuk nyuk!

Checking these out right now. I love her voice and I was pretty excited to see she was doing solo sets in between Windhand stuff. Was hoping she'd get around to this.
Krosis wrote:Micro Terror fun: I switched out the stock tube with a Tung-Sol 12AX7 and it's like a whole new amp. Louder, more dirt, more sustain, and it even seems like there's less noise. Go fig. If you have a MT give it a try, you won't regret it.
Tung Sols 12AX7s are the fucking gnar. I swear by em.

Also, going to see Sleep tonight!

All of this is also sexing it up.

That strat looks SO good. Damn, I've been itching for a strat lately. Weird, I never liked them growin up but love them the older I get.

Thanks man. That purchase was a lot of years ago and it was purely I picked it up and the neck flowed right into my hand. Just has the perfect shape and soft rounded over edges.
The appearance when it was stock was not great (white pick guard) but the nice thing about a guitar with a lot of pick guard on it is that you can radically change how it looks cheaply and easily.

I dig that clean tone. I also realize that I'm gonna have to get a Grand Orbiter soon.

Really dig the tone on that Concert lead.

Same thing happened to me with my Jazzmaster. The neck is perfect on that thing. I'm not too thrilled about the bridge on it but it is a nice guitar once I swapped the pickup out. I have been thinking about selling the Jazzmaster body and then getting a Warmoth Esquire built and using the neck for a complete build. A Tele with a forearm contour would be just as comfortable as my Les Paul I believe.

Here's a new song that we are gonna have on the full length. There is no bass track on it yet. Our bassist is recording his tracks and then emailing them to me. Should have it later today. Left channel is Matt's MusicMan HD150 with a Dunwich HM2 (the kit, not the 6 knob) and the right is Matamp GTO with a Badascan. Solo is still too loud I think but I'll fix it later. Just wanted you guys to hear it because I'm pretty pumped about how its all sounding but I'll probably pull it later on today so it doesn't get out there too much before the album is done.

After playing an HM2 through my V4 for a year or so I eneded up hating that pedal, and I still don't like it, but that video is rad. I've liked every video he's made so far about gear.

Fixed that for you

, and that's what I was assuming - asked because of the Klon comparison that I've seen thrown around.
I don't really listen to Sleep a ton, but would love to see them live. My brother in law keeps talking about moving to Portland for grad school, and I keep encouraging this so I can go visit.

I come from a long line of white trash, which means that I dislike rotary motors simply because I don't understand them. American bogan'd
I've always been happy with the result when I swap in Tung Sols

Thanks! The Ampeg is a little beast once you can get the toobz working a bit. The brightness of the p90s suits it really well. And yes, you absolutely need to try out an Orbiter.
A Tele or Esquire with that JM neck would be shit hot.

Not seen this before, and wasn't aware that he was doing gear videos at all. Rad video...I feel like one of the only people that can't get on board with that sound though.

"japandy corn". awesome.
i kind of liked the taiwan version better than the japanese one in that video. i thought they all sounded better through the marshall, with whatever settings they used. the dunwhich was probably my favorite, although the OG's sounded good to me too and the left hand wrath wasn't bad. not really fair to judge too hard since no tweaking happened at all. but that would be a 90 minute video and who would want to watch that.
