As far as I can tell. I left my keys in florida while I was working. I have to go back down there monday regardless to finish up work. So my weekend of recording and trying out this amp with the other cabs is out of the question. So as far as I can tell with the blown speakers the important part is in great working condition, couldn't turn it up past 3 anyway. just been listening to Blind Guardian and Sabbat today. going to go draw. :/

I love Blind Guardian. Just a sucker for all those vocal parts. And fantasy lyrics.

Speaker gurus: want a pair of 12s to go with an Eminence Big Ben, being pushed by an Orange OR Overdrive. Gut says a couple Fane AXA12s, but what else should I be looking at? What 12s do you like comboed with a 15?

Planning to sell one of my Orange 4x12s to finance a custom 6x12 from Atlas. Isolated 4x12/2x12s, 8 ohms per. Can run two heads into it or just one head into both. I know it'll be heavy, but those Orange 4x12s are so goddamn heavy that I can't imagine it'd really be much worse.
Also, just saw that Petras did this one. While I'm going to go for a natural(ish) color, this is just rad IMO.

The Charlie Brown Christmas album is my holiday jam though.
That green 6x12 is snazzy.
Got an EQD Arrows in the mail today. Holy fuck this thing is awesome. I've never had a boost pedal before, and I was skeptical this was going to live up to the description, but it gives my Ampeg exactly what it needed - makes the bass tighter/less boomy/more usable, makes mah highs all sparkly and pretty, and everything sounds bigger. The best is that I can just stick it at the front of the chain and leave it on all the time since it makes any drive pedal after it sound even better than it already did.
Highly recommended, my dudes, especially if you are running a darker amp.

I seriously keep looking at these cabs. I love the ebony 810. Just build it with tilt back style casters, like a bass 810.

I used to play a pair of EVM12L's with a 15" and it sounded good. Really clean so I can get all my dirt from pedals. I've never played a Big Ben so I don't know what they sound like or what they pair well with. Those Fanes are nice. Expensive but nice. I'm about to grab a pair of speakers for a 2x12 myself. I'm thinking of getting a Creamback H75 and a Gold, but that's a lot of money. I might go the Eminence version with a Wizard and Red Fang. I like that they are louder since I'll be pushing a two tube amp through it. I used to never like H30 type speakers but lately it's all I've been wanting to get my hands on. Those 75w Creamback version look neat, and I've heard Wizards are fantastic for that type.

Do it, brother. Austin got his to match his V4 with Ampeg cloth, but then it took a shit. Not sure if' you saw his yet, but it looks even better in person.

Go for the 6x12. It won't be much heavier than the Orange 4x12 but with the kick back wheels it will be way easier to move by yourself. I was gonna go with the stereo jack but opted for a mono.

Hope the health issues resolve pretty quickly and/or you're are getting loads of intravenous opiates, Sam.
That 6x12 with the Ampeg cloth is very classy.
