This is why the only music equipment actually in my house is a tiny ss peavey combo. Those bastards LOVE grill cloth.
she's scratching the tolex actually. I don't mind because I'm ripping it apart immediately.

It's for a side rig, but I want it to sound as massive as possible. Will most likely have a Mesa 400+ running through it, so it needs to handle power. And would be rad to not break the bank. The first thing I can think of that comes to mind is Avatar B212, I think that's under $500. Anything else vintage or modern I should look out for?

Get yourself a TL-606. It's what Orange calls their OBC115 but you build it/buy it cheaper.

This made the top of my list the last hour or two I've been researching. Thanks!

they're fucking awesome. When I downsized from proper doom to practical doom I went down to one OBC and never looked back. If memory serves I think I picked it up for like $450 on talkbass.

So we (finally) got a piano. I played for like ten years as a kid, but forgot it all, so I'm looking through my old books relearning how to read music. But mostly I've just been playing Iron Tusk because of this

1) Woah. I'm pretty ambivalent on Mastodon, but woah.
2) Big fan of having a piano in the house... the ladyfriend brought a slightly-out-of-tune upright when we bought our place, I forgot how much I enjoyed just sitting down and finding sounds in such a different way than when I'm noodling on guitar...

Shout out to Sam.
Hope you're on the mend dude!
Had to sell my Floydie Iceman just now. That was bittersweet.
Going to a good home though, I think.

Awesome. Our bass player actually has a deal through Orange, so I think a new one is around that price for him. I'll probably ask him to grab me one. Thanks!

Have you guys heard the newer Megaton Leviathan album yet?
It's called Past 21 Beyond the Arctic Cell. Great psychedelic doom.

Well I went and bought a cord so I can try the beta bastard out at home.
both speakers are completely shot. one comes up dead and the other one is farty at vol. 1 with no gain. I mean I'm glad I planned on making it a separate head anyway but it would've been nice if the speakers both worked esp since it was stated everything was clean and in good condition. I think I'm going to ask for a partial refund because the plans to make a cab with these speakers is now in the garbage.
