This is a really great idea. If my band gets to the point where we need a van, I'm using this.

Part of the deal was getting better tires on it, but it will definitely need a tune up, oil change and an alignment. Fucking excited. Can't decide on if I wanna put a church logo on the side so nobody will fuck with it, or spray paint "Free candy" on it to fuck with the neighborhood.

They will still fuck with it with a church sign on there. Seen it happen.

Your best bet is to use a sign like Port-a-John Cleaners, or Deep Down n Dirty Sewage Line Cleaners. Something thats gonna make any wanna be thief double think whats actually in there and if they even wanna touch it.

The good thing about a church van though is that a lot of hotels will let you sleep in their parking lot and won't fuck with you. Plus cops don't fuck with church vans nearly as much as bands.

Will do.

Good idea. I may smear pudding all over the windows to give it a realistic look.

I really don't see it getting fucked with all that much. It'll be empty and parked in a secure area when not being used by us. And on the road if it is in a shitty area one of us will sleep in the van to keep an eye on it.

Ahhhhhh you have a valid point there good sir. Why not make it a "Universal Unitarian" or what ever it is church logo for it? Then go online and get one of those free if you sign up Pastor certificates and then if anyone questions you ask them if they wanna get married haha

If its empty and in a secure place you should be fine, its on the road that I would worry about. I would definitely limo tint the back windows and put one of those huge freaking locks on the back doors plus maybe one of those lockable walls with a door on the inside. U can never be too safe.

Some seasoned touring bands need to do a YouTube video series in which they offer tons of tips to maximize the touring experience. I would love to see tips and tricks on how to secure your vehicle and/or trailer from thieves (I'm still of the opinion that gear thieves should be executed without trial). But since this isn't Saudi Arabia...yet, no thanks to Obama!...things like the above mentioned camouflage techniques are ingenious.

I would also like to glean things like cheap eats, drinks, lodging, etc, etc. I mean, the basics aren't exactly rocket science. But to learn new things from seasoned vets of the trade would be handy as hell.

Author's note: the Obama thing was a joke

People keep telling me that.
I'm inclined to disagree.
Although, the new season of Danger 5 is actually beginning to change my mind.

Boxman, are you 100% certain it's the amp?
If so, man I really feel for you. That is pretty bizarre.

You are welcome to it Wes!

when we toured we used an element and stayed with people we knew and backed into their driveway and then had them park in front of us.

my other band used an old normal looking massive cruiser van that we could fit all the gear inside since we were a 3 piece. so we looked like any normal family van.

The KVLT is silly beyond belief but this was $60 so why the hell not? It does happen to be the head the guitar player from Gaytheist uses, so that's fun. I hope it works!

Nice score for $60! His tone sounded great the other night. Those are awesome amps for their going rate.
